Gyromag, Atmos and other crap.

I feel your pain. Atmos systems was my pain when I did it. Actually got over 20 repeller systems during the process, which are a rarity grade higher then atmos, for whatever reason. Mission 2 is the fastest, from my experience, if you do not have a kit to solo fight the profit taker. However, be prepared to mute your radio volume (in your sound settings) or else "primo electromags" will be burned into your brain for all time. This was by far the worst hurdle to get over for getting levels with Little Duck. And it f*cking sucked.

Don't worry, you can buy them for standing! Oh wait, sorry, for whatever reason (insert cynicism here) they are locked in Tier 3 so you need 15 Gyromags and 10 Atmos to even unlock the privilege of buying parts for standing...

Grind smart, not hard.

Profit Taker is the slowest method for farming those components. The second bounty can be completed incredibly fast if you memorize the spawn locations of the targets.

Yet somehow it does not drop the Atmos systems which according to wiki is 10% chance, while repeatedly dropping things that are considered rare (Repeller Systems 7.5% and the mods 1.25% each).

Dozens of people did this one and had the same experience. I got my only Atmos Systems drop after 85 runs.

RNG being RNG.

But regardless the point is that in the time it takes the average player to run Profit Taker they could have done several runs of the stage two bounty. Also it's significantly lower effort which helps to prevent burnout.

ugh, been there before. I tell you, I was absolutely ecstatic when i got my last set of Atmo Systems and could finally hit Rank 3. it took a LOT - and I mean A LOT! - of runs getting nothing but trash i don't need relics (like there aren't 1000 other places to get them) and Resolute Focus (a mod that's probably alright, but I don't use or ever want to see because it gives me flashbacks of running phase 2 for hours on end.  being able to just walk in and buy them with a few Toroids worth of standing just feels great, I dare say for a couple days I felt kinda smug, knowing I was out of this grind, but others aren't.

your best bet is to keep running phase 2. chances are if you PUG you'll get a speedrun squad of people in the same boat as you. one time I also ended up in a Toroid farm, but that's not so bad since you'll still need those to buy systems later on. with a squad using meta gear it takes about 3 minutes. you spend more time going to and from the Enrichment Labs than doing the mission, and you'll soon have the labs layout memorised: no joke, I could now probably get in all the way to the back room and out in under a minute, blindfolded. the place is burned in my brain. all that's left then is to pray to RNGsus to spare you suffering for too long.

TL:DR: run phase 2 until your fingers bleed, take meta stuff and just speedrun with randoms. it's the only viable way.

It's certainly not great. That said, I did 6 Stage 2 bounties a day and got what I needed to rank up on the third day. After that, if I needed more, I just run Exploiter, turn in the Lazulite Toroids, and buy them with Standing.

It's RNG, unfortunately. I advise patience.

Meanwhile i grind exploiter orb with my resource booster and kavat for that juicy toroid.. to trade it with atmo gyro and repeller (My Laptop is too slow to go back and fort Orb vailis)

Exactly, people can do this and get rid of the RNG. Well assuming they are at the appropriate standing.

On the flipside, some of the archgun mods you get as rewards are great for building an archgun setup for taking down the profit taker.

They are ?

Since Phase 3 & 4 involve the Profit Taker that leaves you with The Mods dropped from Phase 1 & 2.... and those mods just aren't that good.... I think Deadly Efficiency is the best one but even that one is not practical for the Meta Archgun Options used against The profit taker...

I average 8 Minutes for The profit taker Solo.... but 2 Minutes for Phase 2....

So basically every Phase 4 run which only rolls the drop tables once could be used to roll the drop tables 4 Times in the same time frame by running phase 2....

However I would still recommend Phase 4 because its Drop table is less Diluted.

They aren't. Literally theres been no threads about anyone complaining about these drops when they were at the appropriate standing..... it doesn't take long for players to figure out how inefficient it is....

I know, dudes. There just times it reduced me to tears since I've been playing this long to understand what grind and rng truly means.

I just needed to vent and say FU because i really meant it. FU

PS - See how seldom I post in the forums even if I've been around for a long time? I just felt like I had to, you know, FU?

When i started farmig atmos systems, to raise my Rank (3 drops needed) , At first I was afraid, I was petrified ..(aretha reference)..because of all the things i read about it....but in maybe 3 hours, split in 3 days i got them, so it's not broken..its just luck messing whit us/you...
Keep the faith!!!

5 year WF veteran here. Grinded PT for three hours. Not even one of them gyromag, atmos and etc.. FU

I Essentially skipped PT and the rankings and bought Baruuk with a 75% off coupon.

To put things in perspective, I’ve farmed every frame in the game...except Baruuk and Hildryn.

It was my first plat-buy for a frame due to game design frustrations ever.  It was the first time I was genuinely disappointed with DE, both in the “shooter” and “looter” aspects.  I fought her once, saw how the loot was as gated as PT’s damage-type slot machine, and stopped.

Everyone praises Fortuna, but imho Orb fights aren’t even in the same league as Eidelon fights.

I’ll stomach the Profit Taker boss-fight for Nightwave but that’s it.

I still don’t have Hildryn.  I guess Exploiter isn’t quite as bad, but it’s still not enjoyable.

Maybe “hot tub” Orb will be different, but I’m not counting on it.

Dudes, I read and took into heart all your advice. I farmed the second mission for about 12 times (in public games) and I got enough gyromag and atmos (I had one mission that gave repeller) and archwing mods (new!), plus several Lith W1 and one Meso K2 radiant relics. I am now building Hyldrin.

I think I need to farm exploiter a bit more for the Lazulites.

And the other damn toroids.

Thanks all.

Except to get the appropriate standing you need those parts to rank up in the first place.
