Mitometeta
No, but seriously. Atlas needs lovin'. Now that his priming got delayed hopefully DE puts him through the same treatment as Wukong in the near future before eventually neck prime releases. It's not because his kit falls off compared to meta frames or because he's not as effective of a teamplayer, I'd still play him just for how fun he feels, HOWEVER. All memes aside Atlas actually has the same problem Saitama did in One Punch Man which is... he's basically only good at punching stuff and being unkillable which makes him so boring after a while. Sure you can get that feeling of satisfaction from the occasional mass petrify or sending corpus flying across the map, but he's so incredibly stale mechanics wise. His landslide and petrify are perfect, they could be left alone completely. It's just his 2 and 4 which I think are utter garbage... but each for different reasons. His 2 is bad because it's tiny. It's so incredibly small that you can block a few smaller objectives like cryopods and that's basically it. "Moving mountains is no easy task" yet all he's moving is a bunch of pebbles. The ability to make it roll and explode should just be completely removed, the damage it does is laughable. The wall should be made much wider, maybe somewhat taller and beefier in health. If you are making an "earthbender" themed frame it should really be an essential to be able to erect huge walls for defense or zoning enemies so you can mosh pit beat em up in there. His 4 is not bad because it's ineffective, it's actually pretty strong, it damages relatively nice and manages to pull a lot of aggro. The problem is it just doesn't fit him at all in my opinion. His project name was literally "BRAWLER". I don't think a frame that's earth, punching and endurance themed should have a summoning ability as a 4, that takes away the whole fun of charging into battle head on. "Minion" spells are already kinda lame in my opinion but Atlas's takes the cake. It doesn't even have any kind of mechanics or sinergy like Nekros's for example where you can "choose" your summons by killing certain enemies or Nidus's bug swarm which helps stack mutation when you are baiting enemies into the area. You just press 4 and get to watch two rock toddlers smacking some enemies around and making them angry... fun. I honestly don't know what his 4 could be but it should definitely emphasize on the "brawler" part a lot more than the "I can't have children cause helminth dried my dingaling off so I made kids out of rock" part. I love Atlas with all my being and I just think he has a lot of wasted potential in his current state. Anyways, happy to hear any opinions and sorry if this rant came across as rude, it wasn't meant to be! Thanks for the read😊 Edited July 22, 2019 by Mitometeta
(PSN)Ozymandias-13-
I agree. I love him, and he's one of my most used but those 2 abilities need work. If for no other reason than penance for delaying his prime. Lol

Wukong was released for the Chinese version of Warframe and was then released into the rest-of-the-world at a later date after Atlas, making DE's order of the Prime releases correct by that overall release order and only confusing to everyone who isn't in China. That's all I wanted to say, carry on.

I was aware of this, the reason I said "delayed" was because DE obviously knew people were expecting Atlas to be primed next as evident by their "neck prime leak" gag and they still decided to go with Wukong instead. It makes sense that they wanted to do so after his huge rework, but I personally do not think Wu's chinese release date was taken into too much consideration by DE. Rather his rework was which motivated them to do so is what I'm trying to say.

On the build the rest of the world plays, atlas was before wukong, and therefore was skipped.

Yes ^^ That's why it matters, because to DE they released the monkey before the rock. Just because Wukong was initially delayed for release to us, doesn't mean he didn't come out first from DE. They're the ones who do the order, and because they released Wukong to the public first, that means he gets his Prime first and therefore Atlas wasn't skipped. It's not a big deal, don't sweat it. But the point of order does stand.
