Falling down pits and respawning halfway across the map

Any way to fix this? I'll fall down a pit or any other area that respawns me with current abilities deactivated, and I will end up sometimes 1000m away from where I fell off. Just happened to me earlier trying to extract on the corpus ice tileset on Pluto. I tried to stretch my aim glide and fell before I made it to the last platform and was respawned 350m away.

Deactivating everything when you fall into a pit is normal. As for showing up far away, were you in a group? Perhaps there was a particularly laggy connection between you and a host.
