Remove Profit Taker's adds

The constant swarm of enemies makes the Profit Taker fight incredibly difficult.
Like Eidolon fights, the fight should only be against the party and the boss.
Don't constantly spawn enemies into the fight.
Maybe have a few just to reload the Arch Gun.
But the focus should be on that actual boss.

This fight with no adds is a glorified cutscene. People beat it in like two minutes as is. Farming her for CREDITS is a thing. If anything the fight is too easy as is considering WHEN most people are getting to it.

And everything the boss does can be avoiding by lazily moving to the side and rolling/popping into your operator.

Without the enemies you'd need the entire fight reworked.

But instead you can take a tankier build, take a frame to clear enemies if you're in a group, or just keep an eye/ear out for the reinforcement beacons dropping.

I think it’s the hardest fight in the game. Eddy’s can’t even kill you, well maybe #2 if you stand still, but that’s it. This guy can.

Sometimes i I think if I did not have all this stuff this would be damn near impossible to do. Eddy’s would just be my operator died a few times so what.

The fight isn't even difficult, it's obnoxious.

I wouldn't remove all of the enemies but I would seriously limit the spawn pool to exclude enemies with knockdown/knockback and those stupid bounce grenades. That would go a long way to making the fight less frustrating while maintaining the current enemy count. You'd still have to dodge the shields and I honestly like that mechanic.

It wouldn't do anything to fix fighting your squad for damage initiative, that's it's own frustrating kettle of fish.

Aaaaand the Archgun Mechanic JUST DOESN'T WORK for Profit taker. Great on paper but fails outside of laboratory conditions. The last Profit Taker fight I seriously attempted, last phase had 4 minutes to kill the Profit Taker..... Arch Guns still on Cooldown for another 4:30 GG guess I'm just sitting out the final damage phase....

I think the only thing I would do would be to change the spawn chance of it out accross the coolant lake when it's surrounded by two coolant streams and the lake - I without fail (cause I am a admittedly stubbornly slow learner) ALWAYS get bounced into the coolant and lose my buffs.  I hate that location almost enough to abort when it happens.

Advice - if your not working on controlling the mob - especially the alert sticks - your making your life needlessly harder.

Removing all the enemies (save for a few to reload like you say) would make the fight piddlingly easy.

This, plus you need ammo to fight it, enemies drops ammo, you need enemies

Just to clarify we all know that this fight is in the grand scheme of things not that demanding once you learn it right? That or I'm apart of an elite gang of tenno who kill him literally just for credits, because the index takes to long.

She's so cute as she dies, and with chroma buff you get double credits.

There is a learning curve. It's an "endgame" boss battle. It's not an easy fight because of the reinforcement - which makes total sense. If It was not for the lag due to Host or my own slow internet, I'll do this fight for an hour straight everyday.

One thing, i believe that could be useful, is to have a set of definite amount and type of enemies spwaning for the fight - not an endless horde of angry bouncers.

I'd prefer if they made it so that it didn't disconnect people all the time. my clan leader has shoddy internet, sure, but the ONLY time he ever gets kicked is during profit Taker. no way in hell it's a coincidence, it's happened way too many times and I've had it a couple of times too. there is definitely something up in the coding of the fight or whatever that makes it error out on people.

but, yeah, the fight itself is CC hell, I usually take Valkyr and go on medic duty (and believe me, it gets busy as a medic too). would be nice to actually last more than 2 seconds without knockdown spam.

With Revenant, you can Enthrall the horde while you focus on the Orb. But the super accurate high fire rate cannon on Profit Taker is really really bad for Mesmer Skin. I don't know, it's a trade off. You CC the crowd but have a weak defense against Profit Taker's cannons. I guess you can learn when to dodge in the Void with Operator as with Teralyst.

They'd do better just reworking Profit taker to something that doesn't feel like an absolute mess.

And before somebody says git gud, I just personally don't like the design (or lack thereof) of the fight and would rather do almost anything other than dodge like a madman while shooting at a large target that could only be missed if you mod for negative accuracy.

Sure if you’re hardcore you can do this fight in less than 5 minutes, but if you’re not one of the very few who can or you find fighting the orb itself is too much, make the job easier for your squad mates and just go hard clearing ads and pylons, revive fallen Tenno (if any) and take a shot at the orb when you have an opportunity.

^this^
one of the best runs I had there was a nova of all things slowing the adds down and clearing all of them.  the fight is far easier if you make use of the mechanics of the valis.  keep the wanted level low at all times and the fight is a tad bit of a joke let the wanted level sit at 4x and it is a different kind of joke.  in case you did not know the higher the level the bigger and more specialized the adds are at wanted level 4 nulifier ospreys (these buggers are extra cowerdly but cant bubble themselves) and scrubas units spawn as do both types of spiders and jackals (jackals and one of the racnoids will spawn after a bit at wanted lv3)

as far as frames go a the super tanks are great with some of the suports working well as well.  if you have a max duration nova (18 orbs for a total of 90% DR) and the new 4 augment you can do quite well in the fight.  Oberon is good if you want pasive heals (and potently auto ress) or to ensure that your team as radiation damage during the ark-gun fazes,  his one is also well suited for killing some of the heavier corpus units like jackals and racnoids.  for a fast fight take a heat chroma and for the lazy take inaros.

one big thing is hand sprang it is dam near necessary especially when shooting the boss as all parkour is slower when you have an ark-gun equipped.  weapons that are good at corpus add clear are also a must have.

oh yeah baby, bless that handspring mod. also, the only annoying guy for me is the corpus melee guy that bounce you with ground slam and like keep SPAMMING E when in front of you. and you keep staggering.

i mean sure it's his job, but man that damn sickle animation. like a repeating broken animation with no delay.

And if you have your Archgun equipped you can't quick melee and you can't de-summon it because even if you start the animation to do so it's staggering you so fast that it cancels the command. It's like the heccin Ginosaji, which is kinda Ironic cause I named my Inaros Loadout Ginosaji.

The fight is difficult for op, but many have stated to be able to solo it in 5 minutes.
NOW....

The question for a million dollars is:

What should OP do?

A) Git Gud
B) Find someone to carry him
C) Blame the game for his shortcomings and complain about it on the forums
D) Improve his gear

Stay tuned, we will find out after the advertisements.
