Gauss Heat to toxin

Could DE change the Heat in his 3rd abbility to toxin ? 

This would Change his 3+3 combo from blast to viral which scales better because it allways Takes 50% hp Independent of Enemy level and blast is only good for condition overload .

Cold really doesnt either... cold is just the absence of heat, so it would only make sense for him to build up and transfer heat since you can not transfer cold, only lose heat.

Cold is absence of kinetic energy, heat is a presence of kinetic energy because science

That's exactly what he does, he can sap heat from the environment.

Really? To my knowledge only 2 enemies use Toxin damage, and they aren't particularly hard to pick out from a crowd.

I can think of 3. Toxic Ancient, Mutalist Osprey and Nox. the Ospreys can sometimes be harder to see in larger groups before they do their dash attack and release a toxic cloud.

as for Gauss, let's wait and see, maybe DE will tweak him a little more before his release.

The person I was responding to was referring to Infested specifically.

Also, are Ospreys really that hard to avoid? Their audio cue is quite unmistakable. I can't think of the last time I got caught in the cloud as it was being formed (though I will confess to occasionally running through it before it dissipates).

If anything, the bigger problem in my eyes is the Toxic Ancient, and that's simply because its AOE screech is poorly telegraphed.

Seriously , how did you come up with a conclusion that a kinectic energy based speedster frame has to deal toxic / viral damage with his ability ?

He just changes temperature around him by speeding up / slowing down molecules in air with kinetic energy.

If you are that desperate for so called " scaling ", use AoE status weps with Viral damage then.

You mean someone who understands that other elements exist besides the meta ones?

I mean, there's definitely problems with the disparity of damage types, but that's an issue that needs to be fixed on an entirely different level then "give everything the best elemental type regardless of whether or not it's appropriate for the theme"

Lol all the people in here going OMG it doesn't match the theme like that will matter in the long term. The way I see it right now this frame is just another volt and even then he doesnt have the same utility as volt. Gauss doesn't feel like he currently has any roll to play in the game, not saying this change would give him one but it would make him oh so slightly more worth playing than he is now.

Id argue the attack isnt telegraphed at all. All ancients make that scream, but for the toxic the cloud is invisible, so you cannot always tell if its screaming to scream or screaming to kill. Especially if a disrupter is nearby, since then the toxic looks like a disrupter and you dont always have time to look at their name before you die

I agree, I was just covering my bases in case there was a telegraph that I've been missing.

OP question... What does toxin have to do with momentum and mach speed? 

Genuine question like i want to do see the thought process that brought that to you other then whats good for CO

Nothing but gering a Viral proc around you is better/more usefull than all enemies around you falling over once...
