Ember Rework suggestion

Ember Rework:



 

Passive: With every enemy killed by embers abilities enemies will drop a pile of ash which can be picked up to increase the dmg of her abilities(scales infinitely) this will slowly decay over time it will be displayed at the bottom right hand corner of the screen and it will be shown as a flame that gets bigger and brighter as it increases will have four phases (this will cap but the numbers will scale past the fourth phase) each phase will grant ember different buffs these buffs will be 1. +250%armour 2.+20% movement speed 3.+25% ability casting speed 4.+5 meters of range for all of her abilities.(you can have all 4 of these buffs at once) 


 

Reason for keeping fireball and ditching Fire blast: first fire blast is a very neesh ability with VERY little use and metocer damage at best. I decided that fireball should stay because it has the potential to be a good first ability it just needs utility  


 

1st ability: sends out multiple fireballs that will seek out targets (# of fireballs will scale with power strength like up to 4-5) and will stick to targets sending them in to a frenzy, and if enemies touch one another the fire will spread to other enemies sending them into a frenzy.( also increase the first ability charge time)

 

2nd ability:New *accelerant or overheat* Ember will cast an aoe effect around her that will give her a dmg reduction(up to 85%) but as well as enemies that get in the aoe radius will be stunned for a short period of time and will receive more dmg to fire  (amount scales with power strength).(basically combining her old overheat with accelerant but improving it)

 

3rd ability:(changed to World on Fire) world on fire is now a toggle and will only drain energy when an enemy is killed by this ability. Also world on fire will start at a shortened range and will slowly increase as your passive grows but will decrease slowly when the numbers and meter decrease past the fourth phases.

 

4th ability:New *Solar Flare* Ember will sacrifice the buildup of her passive in an all out aoe explosion that will blind and and will proc fire that rivals that of the burning sun, searing through armor and shields doing direct damage to the enemies health 

 

4th ability augment:New *Fusion Flare* Ember will also proc radiation damage to enemies as well as making enemies killed by her fusion flare ability have a 50% to drop double the amount of ash that is needed to fuel her passive  

 

Conclusion :Ember has always,lets be honest, sub par compared to other frames, even back in alpha and closed beta she was only good at killing the infested that's it. and when she had her 4 changed the first time and her overheat was replaced with accelerant she became a press four to win frame and even then her damage was ok.this rework changes that and makes her use all her abilities and not spam her 4 because then her other abilities would not be as powerful you use her full kit to build up a meter to make your already four abilities stronger and scale. And that really all ember needs .  if you have any suggestions leave them and don't just be a twat and say my idea sucks because it doest make ember an immortal room nuke that make unicorns and and free platinum.

She drops some brutal dmg already when you combine the following:

  • Stand on fire
  • World on fire running
  • Accelerant

It's hard to compete with Saryn though, I do feel she is up there with equinox .. kind of but agree if WOF built up an explosion the more dmg you did to enemies that gets released when you shut it off.. she'd be back in the game!!!

Sorry for confusion was being partly sarcastic in that frames like banshee and ember have taken some heavy nerfs dropping them from amazing to trash bin.

Banshee got lucky in that she has some utility from other abilities but when they applied the same nerf to ember... fire dmg is all the poor thing had going for it.

You do know that the nerf pretty much made Zero difference to the "cheese" your probability referring too.  The Ember Meme build was pretty much uneffected by the change, it only got stronger with the x2 damage buff. The only thing the nerf really changed was it killed pretty much all other builds with her around WoF CC in the later game. So yeah revert the changes please. I thought she was in a decent position then for later game combat.
