after reading some good feedback and doing some research on the general shapes of corpus architecture, I have redone most of the model.

and pretty much scrapped the idea for particle effects for blade edges...

Hello I am new to the tennogen or the workshop scene, and wonder how you guys would rate this corpus style sword im working on. the model is pretty much done, but with a few criticisms I shall make changes. and haven't done any texture work, hopefully one day I can find a tennogen comrade who can teach me the art of making textures or show me a nifty tutorial or two.

The blue fire is not finale, just something to give you the idea...

I like it so far, but I don't think the curve of the flame-blade matches with the Corpus aesthetic all that well given they tend to have more angular / square designs.

As a sort of idea, what about changing it up a little bit to have vertical flame vents (instead of the circular ones) running up the sides of the blade, thus giving the flames themselves a reason to have a more flat shape to them?

Of course this is all just my opinion, and you should do whatever you feel is best or what you like more.

I agree with the other person, the curvy blade doesn't match the corpus aesthetic at all. I think maybe a more blocky blade could work?

I would rather go with an electrical design rather than a flame design, and I know electric designs are somewhat overdone in Corpus fashion, but here me out. The flames make the Blade look too huge in general, not that there's anything wrong with that, but when it's the energy parts that is mostly extending the shape of it, it seems like too much is going on. Having some sort of electricity run through some thin wires that are closer to the blade, will reduced that cluttered look and give it a more controlled vibe. The flame look might make more sense on a Grineer weapon, not a Corpus one.

For some reason it looks like is from Lego universe... Why you don't use Moa leg for sword handle and corpus helmet for something in the middle of this sword. Like skeleton  head but in this case is corpus helmet... and for a blade something from zanuka combine with something. 😁 And yea fire effect dont fit in corpus style.

I DO like that it makes me want to kill Creepers in the Warframe Universe...It reminds me of the sword built into Gypsy Danger’s arm in Pacific Rim.  With a little Minecraft thrown in.
