Nikana stance farming makes me crazy

Hi there,

so, now i have a request for help to you, tenno 🙂

i try to get

- Decive Judgement

- Tranquil Cleave 

for tranquil the wiki says, it drops from arid and frontier butcher. for decive the wiki says arid, frontier and normal heavy gunner, grineer warden (and some more).

arid only spawns on grineer tilesets - which is on mars, frontier spawns on forest tilesets, which is on earth.

 

so i play several missions (i think something above 500+) on mars and earth and about 100+ round in rathum with no luck.

so my question is: is it still just bad luck or did i get something wrong?

This is The Worst Way to Aquire Stances....

I got Tranquil Cleave from a Clan Mate and Decisive Judgment dropped randomly for me multiple times....

yeah, but that's not a option (as i don't know someone with this stances and nothing droped until now), and i don't want to spent plat for it.

I had to spend Platinum to get Tempo Royale....

Okay so this might be a long shot but you can browse through your mods to see if you have picked up any Rare stances for other weapons and then you can just Sell those for platinum to get the one you want.... if you got Bullet Dance then that would be great....

we are talking about some stances.. thats nothing i need, just something i want to have. thats why i don't want to spend plat for it. i have absolutly no problem to farm for long times - ash and ivara took me much longer to aquire all parts. 

i just want to know if i get something wrong with the tilesets/locations or not 🙂

If thats the case then yep.... Mars and Earth are the right places.... 

But.... do consider this... Ivara's parts have like a 15% chance to drop.

 

Rare Stances have a 0.4% Chance to drop or worse....

I personally didn't need Tempo Royale because I had Cleaving Whirlwind for my Heavy Blades.... but I wanted Tempo Royale so I ponied up and bought it....

My point is whether you want it ir need it... trading for it is the least frustrating way to get it....

I mean you can also get it for free if you come across the right person and even that is more reliable than hoping for it to drop....

I remember when i needed the nikana stances, it was not easy.. ( i hate he stances where the nikana are in the waist of the frame, so i started farming others, but in the end, i bought one of them, and farmed another...they are not the easiest ones, but i can´t remember where it dropped..)

And the drop rate of farming Ivara are under 10%..the chassis though, is 5 %...(still farming it...)
May RNG may forever be at our side!! 😉

ivara took me with something around 6 month (in total) the longest farming time of all frames (and everything else, to be honest) because of bad rng. but for me the frame was worth it. i get the perfect hunting frame.

so hope you will enjoy playing the ivara frame as i do.

funny thing: the last part i get on a mission i don't intent to farm a part of her 😂

I mean, what's the meaning of a looter-shooter if you just buy your loot in a cheap way .... Warframe has some real problems with it's economy in relation to the genre.
But ok, to the topic.

Tranquil Cleave: (Arid/Frontier) Butcher (0.03%)
Survival on earth or mars.
- With Necros and a Slash weapon to butcher those Butchers
- Or Ivara

Decive Judgement:
Do the same like for Tranquil Cleave, only that this dropps from Heavy Gunners. (0.03% chance)
First try to farm for Tranquil, and if you have Tranq but no Decive Judgement, go for:
- Rathuum on Nakki should be a pretty save way (0.34% Chance)

Edit:The last part is outdated, sorry for this false information.
- Specter Farming (0,6% dropchance) (most boring way, but biggest chance - also it is much faster than Rathuum)
Go to the any Junction, The bridges between planets, and kill those over and over (i know, that's a pretty boring grind))
Ivara can't steal from them, but Necros can desecrate, so double chance with Necros.

Go in as an example Mercury Bridge on Venus, kill it, if it drops nothing, leave the mission through Esc, to save time.
If it drops the item leave the Mission normally.

Farming Ivara is the greatest amount of Luck I've ever had in warframe... 

 I honestly can't be unbiased about it.... I didn't suffer like everyone else did.... 😞

Whats the point of a Looter Shooter if the loot doesn't actually drop ? 

You may as well you the useless loot you have to trade for the loot you need.... before DE makes them untradeable :O

thanks and yeah, thats a problem i think. but every one has to find their own way to play 🙂

for me, i'm not wasting plat for such things. i only buy inventory, cosmetics and some packs - mostly because i like it and to support the developers

no. i simply do not find it annoying. that's the point. as already mentioned: i knew how warframe work the time i decide to play it. so why should i now complain about it?

if the implement a new system - thats something i may not like, because its new. farming isn't new. it the basical idea of warframe.

the only people who repeatly complain about a system are the one, who want shortcuts. to get everything easy for free. thats not how it or even live works. and i do not see any sense in this behaviour.

They had, but looks like it isn't possible anymore to get anything from them, except a life orb.
I dropped something from them, but that's looong ago, i tested it again with like 100 mobs and Necros - and nothing dropped.

The eco-system in FarmFrame is pretty bad.
Most drops are not tradeable (materials), most tradeable items are just "junk" like most prime parts for ducates.
And other things are waaay to overpriced (Rivens, Vaulted Primes)

I mean, i get it that you can get the Premium Currency (Platinum) pretty easy through trading, but in first place somebody needs to pump in real money into the game to actually get Plat in the Game.
It works, but it really feels more like a garage sale, where you hort your trash and try to sell it to people who can't afford new things.
Warframes Market is a "digital extrem" of low and high.

LOL..it happens to me a lot! Like yesterday!
I think i am like you, i like to farm calmly, no rushing.....do some runs today...some a couple more some days after...doing it calmly. so i don´t get Burned out!
I am also farming KHORA, and the only part i miss was Chassis.. I usually do 3/4 runs a week,, maybe less, and i have been doing it for like 4 months..
Yesterday, i was levelling Hystrix ( cool secondary, by the way..!!), and i was whith a friend and we went to a ESO (just for leveling..), by chance we last till 8 zons IT DRPOED!!
Like you whith IVARA....!! 🙂
It was Karma!! LoL!   Never give up!!

I understand OP @NewcastleDisease is saying and wanting!
Farming for a specific gun/warframe/drop, can be thought sometimes... because of the low drop chances that item can have, the luck factor "involved", the fact you have to repeat the same missions, and other factors, but the happiness and fullfillment (of a job well done )  the feeling you receive when it finally drops, its overwhelming! For me, the thougher things are, more satisfying is the reward.!

I understand, that sometimes the furustration of not dropping, can be annoying, but likewise the opposite (when drops) is so rewarding..!!!
Ok, yes, there is a easy way, of course, i can buy it, but its not the same..

I can buy 10 arcane energizer + 10 arcane grace if i want, but it makes me a better player ( and a more satisfied one) if i farmed them in tridolon captures, see where i am going..?

This is a matter of perspective... Farming for plat, and then buy what you need, is also a PRO way of doing it, because Plat doesn't pour like carzy from every void fissure, but if i have the time and disposition for farming it "old school way", lets go for it, because then you know, YOU DID IT THE HARD WAY!! 🙂  ( so satysfying..!!!!! 🙂 )

Its not annoying in my opinion, its just plain HARD, but so rewarding..!! (love this Grind Game!!!)

Seems you got some proper farming answers, so Im just going to say way back in the day I spent hours upon hours on Earth trying to go for Tranquil cleave, before after like a full week of like 6 hours of farming per day I finally just bought it. I dont think Ive ever had the privilege of seeing it drop, granted Im hardly ever on earth outside of the Plains but still. This is just my experience though, and this was wayyyy back before I 'mellowed out' for this game and realized doing a hard grind just isn't how the game should really be played unless you can REALLy stick throug hit. Sense Ive just started doing things slowly, and if it takes an abnormally long amount of time for something to drop for me (or Im just sick of doing the activity that provides it) Then ill probably buy it as by that point, I felt Ive shoved enough hours into it that the fact it didn't drop is just my crappy luck and Id rather just get my reward. (as for me after doing a grind for X amount of time even finally getting the reward will just feel hollow after a point, more like 'god yes it's finally over' and not 'Yey I got it heck yes!', Ive had enough of the former to the point that I dont want that to happen to other grinds, so I dont really go for mods anymore and any other drop from a specific activity Ill just grab if it doesn't drop in the first 50-100 runs or something, depends on the activity)

BUt to get back to your point yes, your luck is about average from my experience, but I wish you luck in your adventures all the same 👍

But the game is going punish you for wanting to play that way... mind you you're talking to someone who refused to buy anything other than Slots with the first account I started.... so I understand why OP wants to grind things the hard way and all the consequences that come with it....
