Bug with latest update

Recommended Posts

EBEeCzAUIAAaTQ2?format=jpg&name=largeI know they are a small team and all, but the last update has to be the most bug ridden one they've released that I have a hard time believing they tested it.  Even Konzu couldn't escape the bugs as his face looks like the skin was ripped off to show the muscle under it (this is just from starting a bounty.)  And the operators look like an absolute mess.  And then the response being "it'll be fixed next patch."

Yeah, no.  This needs to be a hot fix immediately.

Look, I get bugs aren't always easy to find to the point some take data miners to find them, but some of these are ridiculously easy to find (as the image shows, just talking to Konzu does this to him.)

Yeah I agree it seems rushed. But either someone said that they have to bring the update out NOW so they didn't have to to test that or they just didn't test this.

And yeah. It needs hotfixes immediately BUT

Software development isn't easy. Sometimes it can take hours/days to even find the cause of the bug, and it can then take hours/days to fix it.
Especially games are so complex with a long list of third-party stuff involved, sometimes the cause can be out of DE hand entirely and they have to ask the third-party guy to fix it.

Especially changing something like the visuel system is prone to make problem elsewhere...

So yeah something went wrong here but it's not as easy as it looks like

Yeah, no.  This needs to be a hot fix immediantly.

How is this exactly helpful, OP? Try to be more constructive with a bug report instead of throwing a tantrum like a petulant child.

Now I kind of want to see that Konzu face bug, lol.

But as someone who has been playing Warframe for over 6 years... You just get used to the bugs. Sometimes they fix them quick, sometimes it takes years, and sometimes they never bother.

I don't think you understand the relationship we players have with DE. DE won't find all the bugs before an update because they can't. Players find the bugs and then we let them know so they can jump right to the issue. That's how it's been from the start and that's how it's going to be until Warframe is done.

Trust me, I'm majoring in this stuff.  I know. XD  But there is a lot of stuff here that isn't even hard to find.  Literally just talking to Konzu breaks his face, and you don't have to do anything to break the operators.

Yeah, this came off slightly more ranty than I wanted, so I'll add some stuff besides the Konzu thing.

I added it to the OP.

And that's not really a good thing.

It shouldn't take players to find some of these easily findable bugs.

This isn't that big of a deal. Yeah its a bit silly, and more stringent testing would have helped, but the game is in beta and the bugs are a result of switch specific fixes that don't go through the normal mainline QA / bug finding process that happens on PC. You have to remember that switch / consoles are used to getting updates relatively debugged while PC deals with weird S#&$ like this all the time.

Also, "DE should be embarrassed" really? How is this a bug report, this is just crying in front of everyone else you play the game with. That's what's embarrassing here.

Also you can't hotfix new shaders. It will probably need to go through cert again. Go play something else for a week or two if this is so disastrous for you.
