So as a Volt main after scouring the web and forums I couldn't find any builds on how to make Volt tanky, only forums telling people to not even bother trying, maybe this has been done before but I couldn't find anything, and people keep msging me ingame asking for the build so I figured I would post it here and I might make a video guide later.
So what can the build do?
Atm I've gone 60mins in Arbitration without dying and haven't tried pushing further yet
This is after 3 rounds of the index (really need to make a good ranged wep melee sucks in index) as you can see the build is easily keeping up with Rhino, but around 25 points is the max I would hold hold as the energy degen is too much and will get you killed, as energy pool is our second life pool
How the build works
with this build we effectively have 2 life bars one being our hp and the other being our energy pool, and because we are a melee life strike build our hp is always maxed out and our back up life pool only gets used rarely (unless in index) on top of this we're using arcane guardian and with umbral fiber maxed out we're around 900 armour with adaptation to boot we are one tanky boi.
One thing to note though not necessary you might want to use [Decaying Dragon Key] to remove most of our shield, since we are using [hunters adrenaline] not necessary but this will help keep up energy even more.
So onto the build!
So this is without umbral forma atm but once I get it, I will be adding exilus [Power drift] and will max rank [Umbral Intensify] and [Umbral Fiber] when I get a second umbral forma I'll max out the other stuff though NO Umbral forma is really needed for this to work. (I know I can max out Flow already just lacking the endo atm) The only negative of this build that comes to mind is you need to refresh your speed every 10 seconds, which might annoy some but you'll never struggle with energy so this really isn't much of an issue.
So for our meme strike channeling build, you NEED a ZAW with [Exodia Brave] or you wont be able to keep up your energy, you'll also need to use Zenurik with the energy and channeling efficiency nodes maxed, if anyone can think of a way without [Exodia Brave] I would love to hear it. As you can see our attack speed is extremely low though this is made up for with volts speed and [berserker] and is the reason we use [Power drift] as our exilus, but you could always make a faster dokram and use any exilus you want, This is a max damage build so feel free to play around with the build of your dokram. This build uses Dokram, Shtung and Vargeet ruhang 2 for max damage, our riven is using Range, Crit chance on slide and Slash dmg. With this build i'm doing insane damage (can 2 shot a lvl 85 nox) and with a god tier Riven with Range, Crit on slide and Melee dmg this build would be completely broken.
IMO this is the best melee wep volt can use as we have huge damage and the attack speed isn't an issue for volt
So that's the build! I hope you guys love it as much as I do because this build took a lot of time, work and platinum, and is honestly so much fun to play and is a great alternative to meta tank frames. If i've missed anything or you guys have any questions lemmi know here or ingame!
