Option to choose between effects on Spore Ephemera?

I just want to say, I like the new Ephemera, I really, really do. But I think it has too many effects for a single ephemera. I can count 5 individual effects, unsure if there are more.

1. Body sheen (based on both energy colors)

2. Black smoke (eminating from the head)

EDIT: Only seems to come from the head if testing it on Operator, this is likely due to the Operator being shorter, on frames it's from the body as you'd expect

3. Energy color based underglow on the floor (this effect I'd really like on its own, it's similar to a car with underglow modifications)

4. Infested Spores (only spawn when standing still, doesn't work when moving)

5. Thin tendrils (based on both energy colors, I think DE intends to make it look like these tendrils are what spawn the spores, since this effect also stops when moving)

 

Overall, I'm not against an Ephemera having multiple options, or even having multiple ephemera slots to mix and match (e.g. body ephemera with a seperate step ephemera), I just think it's a bit too much for one Ephemera, it makes the pre-existing look rather bland in comparison. I'd really like to choose between the effects.

I'm actually a fan of the spore ephemera. One of my biggest gripes about ephemera is that footstep types can't be seen by the owner. And footstep types are by far the most common type.

Blood is hilariously bad. Did they make it look like Portal goop on purpose?

And even after more than 120 stalker kills I still have yet to have a smoking body drop.

I'm just happy being able to see my own ephemera while I play. I always thought that items should be more for the owner than showing off your epeen to other players.

I agree it is a lot of effects , was expecting only a trail of spores but the tendril aura and underglow are the saving grace, only reason i will be using the ephemera ,

the spore spouting is not that great according to me , glad its only visible when stationary.

I like all of the effects except for the shooting pee thing. Just ugh, gross. 

 

I do wish I had the option of turning some of the effects off.

I love the Spore Ephemera, but it definitely has too much going on at once... especially if you’re idling. Being able to pick and choose separate effects would be neat.

Meanwhile, I just wish the sheen effect applied to syandana/attachments because they really stand out. 👀

Yes! I wanted to say the same thing with OP.
I love the Spore Ephemera itself as infected grotesque decoration, but the glowing body effect is too much for my taste.
I am not against its gorgeousness, but sometimes, too much effect kills the fashion.

Thank you, the ephemera looks great but it would look so much better for all warframes if we can pick which effects will be shown.

I love it but the lightning VFX are a bit much, would be nice if they at least toned it down so its not so bright. Even if you use dark colors its still way to bright. Then if you use smoke black it make darker but then your spores lose their color & the VFX on the ground are virtually invisible.

Devs have more things to do than an aesthetic option for your ephemera, i think. The ephemera is kinda nice right now as it is.
