--TL--JaxDobba
Hi, I really need help from anyone who has some info of PC parts and stuff My PC has a GTX 970 And an i5 6400 with 8GB of RAM Seems pretty okay parts to at least run Warframe flawlessly, I guess. The thing is my PC just doesn't cooperate with Warframe at all, my GPU and CPU overheats even on the lowest settings and even if I lower the resolution, when I started playing the game back in mid 2018 I used to play on high settings no issues whatsoever, now I literally can't go do Cetus/Fortuna content at all, and even sometimes my PC overheats and just crashes on Index! I need help with this matter. If anyone has a solution or any advice, I'd really really appreciate it. Thank you all for reading.
Guest
Have you tried turning on v-sync/framerate limit?
--TL--JaxDobba
I always have V-sync On. If it helps, when I open warframe and go to PoE or Orb Vallis, my CPU goes to 100% and then my PC dies
--TL--JaxDobba
It happened again.. I tried everything 6 hours ago, Pr1A said: Have you tried turning on v-sync/framerate limit?

It might be hardware failure or even corrupted data. If it only occurs with Warframe I would suggest verifying the game's files or doing a clean reinstallation. Otherwise I would go straight for a clean reformat.

What's weird is I formatted my PC earlier this year, like in February or so.. and it still didn't fix this issue and it happens in other games aswell… but I'm questioning warframe because my parts are supposedly more than capable to run the game easily at 60 FPS high with no drops or 100% parts.. If your system overheats, check if all the fans are working proper. Air intake and also fans that blow the hot air out of the case. Also, where is your case located? On the desk, on the carpet, in extra space under the desk? Always make sure Air can circulate and that the intake fans don't suck the warm air back in. I read that you already cleaned the system, that is good. You said you got the PC in 2017. Was everything new or used? If you got it used, thermal paste might be an issue. After years of use thermal paste dries out and instead of transfering heat, it will insulate and make the parts overheat. So you should consider replacing thermal paste on CPU and GPU. CPU will be easy, GPU bit more tricky, you might want to look up guides how to do it.

I'll try the thermal paste one, probably my best solution for now. Thanks

It's not up to date but I'm 1 update late though CPU heatsink and fans are working fine I'll check the Nvidia control panel. Thanks
