Trying to find the right Warframe for me

Hello everyone, I am looking to find a good Warframe for me.

 

I started with Mag but only like the pull ability, I have been using Trinity Prime as well but barely use the abilities and it doesn't seem very useful at lower levels.

 

On Xbox I started with Volt and moved on to Hydroid and really like the abilities of Hydroid.

 

I really don't like abilities that just gives buffs and want a frame that has mainly offensive abilities. I was thinking of using Frost because of this and it seems like I will be able to get it fairly quickly since you can get it on Mars.

 

Any suggestions?

But honestly its a try it to see situation.

Well saryn if well used. 

Too much offensive ability and you end up with ash and thats basicly a single target nuker.

have you tryed the overall all liked frames like ember , equinox , rhino , valkyr ?

I have not, I played for a couple of months on Xbox a few years ago and just picked it up yesterday on PS4

 

I fought against the Rhino boss which I thought was enjoyable but I will look into the other ones you listed and see what their abilities are

Frost is a good offensive frame for the beginning of the starchart. His 4 is a good CC and armor strip.

Ceres boss drops Excalibur, poster boy and sword based frame. Hack & Slash FTW.

I'll throw in a vote for Gara as well. She drops from the bounties in the Plains of Eidolon on Earth. Her 1 is a single target attack but if you hold the button down it does a sweep for a large crowd of enemies.

Ember looks really awesome! I like that her abilities are low cost and all do Damage

 

Valkyr seems interesting but I think I need to look into gameplay to know for sure, those abilities seem to be for boosting melee and ranged combat efficiency 

 

Equinox seems similar to Trinity where the abilities kind of help out the team by providing buffs or debuffs

 

Ash seems similar to Valkyr but more offensive and in your face if that makes sense

 

Saryn I am not entirely sure about and will have to look into her more.

 

So with those suggestions (really good having someone to point me in the right direction) I think the ones I want to go with most would be Ash, Ember and Frost. 

 

I'll do more research on all of them.

Volt might suit your fancy. He has good a good balance of damage & CC from his 1 & 4, he can put up a defensive shield that boosts gun damage, has amazing mobility, and his passive boosts damage in general.

I’d recommend Garuda. She’s a bit tough to get if you are new to the game unfortunately (Solaris United standing grind...), but she is absolutely worth it. She has a very fun, offense based style with some nice self defense and team healing. Her 4 is a good debuff skill on enemies as well and can be used as a low level room clearer. (Just make sure you put natural talent and quick thinking on her).

She is one of the few frames with direct damage (non exalted) abilities that scale well with enemy level doesn’t care about armor.

Unfortunately, some other frames I’d normally recommend (Nidus, Mesa) are also locked behind a steep grind and quests, unless you get Mesa Prime. I’ve seen some people suggest Hildryn. She’s tough to get as well since you need to be able to fight Profit Taker and Exploiter, which are later game stuff.

Frost and Frost Prime are both good choices.

Equinox is quite good, Hildryn as well

Nezha, Nidus, Harrow, Saryn, Excalibur, Khora (not the lazy dangle dome ones), Atlas, Valkyr, Loki (not the Lazy High duration ones), Ash, My Limbo (yes... only my Limbo... no one elses) and Garuda....

These frames have the most Active play styles.... they're not all necessarily good but you'l always be doing stuff with these Frames... no Turn on Forget Laziness like Inaros....

I looked into your Limbo and bought the Blueprint yesterday, I think I am a long ways off from unlocking him but he seems interesting.

 

Just looked up Khora and holy crap she looks really cool. Can you have both Venari and another pet on the field?

Yep... and they can share mods too...

Venari can also follow you into Index/Rathuum

Atlas was hard ti recommend because technically he only does one thing alot of times.... and occasionally another thing... but he is going to get primed next so I figured why not.... he might get reworked.... again....

Just be mindful of Other Frames that can get in the way of Letting you do your Stuff.... specifically Saryn.... 

Saryn is the bane of Nidus's existence. 

Same goes for Trinity/Wisp and Garuda..... 

Or Limbo and... well.... everyone !!!

Basically Saryn is great for soloing stuff like ESO or some endless missions, requires you to actively play, but is not so great for team play. Kind of like Harrow but opposite (teammates stifle Harrow’s effectiveness, Saryn stifles teammates).

Sounds like we have similar tastes. Khora and Garuda both fit that bill.

It really does, you all have been super helpful, I am really glad I came here to get pointed in the correct direction. I think I am going to grind for Khora and unlock the areas I need to unlock her, she seems super cool

So I started up on PS4 with one of my buddies and Mesa seems more his playstyle since the abilites aren't actively doing anything to the enemies, they are buffs or defensive abilities and he tends to mostly use secondary weapons unless I am misinterpreting Mesa's playstyle

Limbo is intriguing but takes a bit to master. In the hands of a novice, Limbo can be detrimental to a squad. With that said, he is pretty amazing like all the frames.

Atlas is a beast, but can become monotonous if you’re only spamming Petrify and Landslide. 

Khora, she is one of my go to Defense frames. All her abilities synergy well. To answer your question, yes: Venari is a free second companion.

my suggestion is Nidus. His style and abilities mirror the type of play style you’re talking about. He shines in long missions where you can accumulate high stacks.

Nidus seems really cool too, the mutation stacks seem interesting. Just would have to get used to no shields

Gara. Literally every ability is useful and with just 30 ability strenght you get 90% dmg reduction which works on shields!. With high ability range her 3 and 4 are amazing crowd controls. She passively blinds enemies... If you look for easy mode she or Rhino are best bets. I even use her on Tridolon hunts with maxxed duration and mending splinters.

Just watch out for 2s timer and those pesky nullifiers.

Edit: Mesa is fun untill you get to build her in a way allowing to use her 4 constantly, then she is boring but efficient.

you want a frame with mainly offensive abilities right?? AoE damage/DPS kinda frame?? you already have her..... what you want MAG is that and more. Others DPS/offensive frames are GARA, SARYN,VOLT,MESA....

you shoud probably watch some guides, as the other 3 abilities can decimate a map, in mere seconds..... With my mag prime, I can deal damage comparable to a good saryn.

I would suggest Saryn with her heal mod.

She cabn handle most content.

You also need to be a bit involved in casting the correct abilities.
