Weird flashing red and yellow square in the void

So I was farming some argon crystals at Oxomoco, popping in and out of every room. I walked into one of the big loot rooms with a lot of containers and caches, then I go and turn to look at the mirror shard leaning on the wall. That's when a big red square appeared on the center of my screen, which flashed yellow when I moved forward or backwards. It definitely wasn't my TV because as soon as I moved away from the mirror it immediately went away. Has anyone else had this happen to them?

Edit: 

I got some better pics by doing the mission again and screencapping, but the res is still a little mediocre because it had to be posted to Facebook, then downloaded, and then uploaded again on imgur.

Also the glitch only happened when I looked at the black dot in the mirror.

Thats weird. Don't think I recall seeing something like that. Though if you encounter it again, is there a way you can take a screenshot instead of a picture of your screen? Like on PC (Steam) you can just get a screenshot using F12.. there must be a way to do that on other platforms too. Might help if it is clearer. Or with more context of the scene.

I think DE disabled the capture options on switch.

I went in and screenshot a better picture, ngl I did forget the switch has a screen shotting function.

Thats a much clearer pic.. Definitely looks like a glitch/bug.. isnt natural..
