My game is "Crashing" (minimizing) at random

My game "crashes" at random moments, usually during missions but happened at the login-screen once as well. With "crashing" I mean my Screen goes Black, Grey(ish) and even Orange(ish) once, for about 3-5 seconds and after that I am at my desktop, the game minimized in the taskbar. I can hear the game running, but am unable to go back in. My only option at this point is to end the game via Taskmanager, which means I am losing the progress.

I already tried using Fullscreen and Borderless Fullscreen mode.
I reinstalled Warframe about 4 times now, and changed from the standalone to the steam version in hope it would fix it (it doesn't)
I've reinstalled my NVIDIA driver multiple times now (clean installations)
I've followed every suggestion from the Technical Support

My game is running at a stable 60FPS at all times (limited by VSync, and yes, I tried turning that off as well) so I am sure it isn't my PC not able to handle the graphics (just in case I turned every option to low, to no avail) 

And I am pretty sure I'm missing some stuff I did here. I already wrote a Ticket and send them the Logs, but so far they weren't very helpful (only one reply in 15 days, suggesting I should do stuff I already did). Since I am starting to get very frustrated about this, and don't know what else to do here, I hope someone is able to help me.

This is one old bug and alot of people have/had to deal with it. I used to have 2 completly identical PCs and one of them had this issue and the other didn't. If you google it, you will find posts going back to 2013. The solution was to downclock your GPU. Alot of manufacturers make cards that come slightly overclocked. For some reason Warframe doesn't like this. If you downclock your GPU by 30-40 Mhz, the issue should stop. I know this doesn't seem to make alot of sense, since the game worked fine with the same GPU but it solved the issue.

I had the exact same problem with the game window just disappearing while the game kept running somewhere in the background. I tried just about everything I could think of to fix it, but the only thing that eventually solved it was upgrading my graphics card to a new one (for unrelated reasons).

I will try to downclock my GPU, since I know my GPU is overclocked by the manufacturer.

I was actually thinking about formatting my PC, even though Warframe is the only game having problems. But I rather try the downclocking first. 😄

Over the past couple of days when I try to do endless missions it makes my ps4 crash.   I can rejoin the squad if I get back fast enough but if I do that my affinity is reset to zero.  Very frustrating.

OMG seriously thank you @Papragu. I downlcocked my GPU just a bit as you said (36Mhz to be precise, just so because I get an even number xD) and was able to play the last few days without a single crash, after turning it back to normal just for testing purposes, it crashed the same day. I was going mad because of this, but reading it being a problem since 2013 and  getting no real help from the support still, except suggestions which are partially outdated (deactivating the 64 bit mode even though they removed 34 bit quite some time ago) is a little bit disappointing.
