Try playing the game by yourself. Figure things out by yourself. Complete missions by yourself.

Don't come and ask for full babysitting, you'd juste ruin the game for yourself.

Explore, think, understand. It's a game, try to actually experience it, it's not rocket science.

And once you've played for a good bit, when game and wiki innevitably fail to communicate certain infos (it will happen), then come and ask us. Or ask region chat, bunch of answers in there.

Also, when trying to roll rivens, look at the stats of the weapons in-game. And look for variants of the weapon in the codex, it'll help you know what to roll for. Mod weapons to their strengths, and if you find rare/hard-to-find items, try trade chat to get some Platinum (premium currency) from other players.

Side-note: don't rush through the game, wait until you know what you are doing then try the higher level planets (Beyond Ceres), and remember to scan enemies in-game. There is a codex that is meant to be an in-game database of things you have encountered.

Not Cool....

No, it sounded a bit rude maybe, but that's not the aim.

If you spend all your time with the game, being told what to look for, how and where to get it, and being carried all the way, most likely you're gonna drop the game soon after.

Things are not as simple as "oh, you told him to do something by himself, not cool", there are reasons for those advices.

You just don't ask for help before you even have a problem. He's asking help for things he has not even experienced yet. I'm saying that so that he can have a better experience.

Much more profitable than the "OK sure I'll give you all you need right from the start"

Let him enjoy the only tough part of WF, before he joins our ranks in the "too easy" squad.

Heres the thing though...

This definitely doesn't apply to Warframe... as you said in a different thread people come here to complain....

How much you want to bet thats down to how bad Warframe is letting players figure things out for themselves....

Remember all those players who sold The Gara Blueprints ? Yeah... this is just a taste of why Warframe sucks at letting you figure things out on your own. It leads to suffering.... not a better experience.

Hey guys, I’m relatively new here (played one release but not since) anyone want to help with random runs and missions here and there? Some tips and information in-game would be ideal too.

Thanks!

set it to public,

Also you'll get more people by going to the recruiting tab in game than on the forums. Just ask:

"LF people to help me with new missions"

I wasn’t asking for baby sitting mate haha. I have no issue running solo and have been flying through missions, planets. It was more just for odd questions as there’s a lot to learn and the game doesn’t explain how a lot of things work. Also it’s just more fun all round to play with people and chat whilst you grind no?

Telling a newbie to roll Rivens? He probably has no idea what Rivens are and doesnt have one either.

Ignore that dude, he's not representative of most of the community.

I did find it helpful in the beginning to play solo but that's how I learn; slow, methodical and at my own pace. I also didn't know anyone playing at the time. Once I started to go public it was the advice of longer time players that helped me, so you are doing the right thing.

I'd happily play w you on PS4 but looks like you are on pc. Good luck out there Tenno! If you have any specific questions please ask.

Yall misunderstanding very hard bros XD. As I said, I may have been a little direct, but I had nothing but the best intentions in mind.

Assuming op was a very fresh noob, I wanted him to explore the core game by himself, not by having people tell him "rush to X node to farm Y and Z ressources as fast as you can, and get A B and C meta weapons". Because that would, imho, ruin most of the game experience for him.

But of course I might have misjudged the question. Since the topic was so broad, I assumed you were asking for full on support right from the start. But yeah, there are a LOT of tricks and improvements to learn in the game, what would be the most pressing thing you'd need advices for ?

Explore the starchart. Level up Warframes and weapons.
Don´t do forma for the first weapon/s. Try another one once you reached 30 on that one. Or hold on to hit until it dosen´t deliver anymore.
The more frames/weapons you reach lvl 30 with, the faster you gain MR(Masteryrank), witch unlocks new weapons.

Don't forget to look at recruitment for Clans. Clan-mates are far more viable as help options, and will often run with newer players on whatever you need. They're also great to lend a hand on any questions you might have.
