Prime Warframes

So, I'm a newbie in this game, started a few days ago, at most one week and I was trying to farm a few relics to get a Prime Warframe (Prime Equinox, to be specific) and someone who I was playing with told me to not get Prime warframes until I got all the normal ones. I'm guessing this has to do with the Mastery Rank? The question is, is it highly detrimental to get one before that? And if so, why?

You can get primes first, there's no benefit in getting the regular ones first. In the end you'll need them all for Mastery anyway, but get them in any order you want.

You will get mastery from base and from prime separately. So yes that is part of it. The other part is you have 2 free warframe inventory slots. The rest you have to buy. So best to level the disposable frame first. Then remove from inventory for the prime. Go ahead and farm for it, but waiting on building till you have space might be wise. but One the other hand getting that thing you wanted can keep the grind enjoyable. So in the end you need to decide best course yourself.

 

You can trade for plat and have this game remain free. But it will take some hustle. And early game it will be harder to get what people want.

I believe that primed warframes have a higher mastery requirement, but I am not 100% sure

You'd know for sure that the answer is "generally yes" if you lookes at the wiki.

There are MR locks on most of the primed frames, in this case Equinox Prime is a MR 5 frame which means that you don't have to do much to be eligible to craft and use her.

The person telling you to get their base frame first was saying that cause when you get their primed variant you won't have as much of an incentive to get their base variant and when you do want to get them it would be because you want to increase your MR.

In my opinion you should get Equinox Prime as her base can be annoying to get. (8 pieces from 1 boss can make it hard to get them all in a short period of time, though that isn't the case for everyone in my case i got all parts in 13 runs so its all down do how much lady luck favours you.)

You can get whatever you want whenever you feel like it....

Some Prime War frames are easier to aquire than regular ones (such as Equinox) so you might wind up with Equinox Prime first anyway....

The last games gate is 15 mr for rivens, 14 for some weapons. And it easily gets without usual frame, so it's very optional in my opinion 🙂
