0 taiiat Posted August 12, 2019 Posted August 12, 2019 if you ask me the most reliable thing is Cave Fishing - i can ignore the Daylight Cycle and ""just"" have to deal with everything being useless if there isn't a ""Hotspot"" at the location i'm looking at. so skimming through Caves until i find one. either way it's all about the ""Hotspots"" - you're basically not allowed to do any Fishing unless you're at one. otherwise you're just completely wasting your time and you'll get nothing good and very, very little of that nothing good. fun
0 Voltage Posted August 12, 2019 Posted August 12, 2019 (edited) Go to the lake at the bottom in (highlighted in red) and catch Tromyzon in hot spots during the Cold cycle. That counts as a rare Servofish. Edited August 12, 2019 by Voltage
0 Ryme Posted August 12, 2019 Posted August 12, 2019 Caves worked the best for me. No weather requirement. Just camp the hotspots.
0 Pro3Display Posted August 12, 2019 Posted August 12, 2019 patience. they appear without bait just not that often
0 Caine2112 Posted August 12, 2019 Posted August 12, 2019 The rares spawn during specific time intervals during the cold/warm cycles. The lures bypass that. Just wait, be patient, and the rare fishies will come.

0 bl1te Posted August 12, 2019 Posted August 12, 2019 (edited) Charamotes spawn without any lure, during any cycle in any cave. They are the way to go. You just go to any cave and be patient. Takes me on average 15-25 minutes to get all 6. Edited August 13, 2019 by bl1te
0 nebfab Posted August 12, 2019 Author Posted August 12, 2019 Thanks everyone, caves seem to be the way to go, Already made some progress without much trouble. 43 minutes ago, uAir said: Caves have hotspots? No way to tell from the outside of the cave, otherwise they look like open-water hotspots (sort of oily patches on Venus or bubbly water on Earth.)

You can't just skip their spawn reqs 2 hours ago, nebfab said: Nora sent me. 🙂 I'm still new to the game, and didn't concentrate on Eidolon/Vallis grinding (for whatever reason my PC doesn't like those maps and the game occasionally CTDs there) The wiki says rares do spawn anyway, but any further tips would be appreciated... Cave fishing hotspots is the way to get the rare's since some only spawn are different points in the cycle. This can help a lot: https://semlar.com/fish Scroll down for fish info Edited August 12, 2019 by Zelmen
0 Gabbynaru Posted August 12, 2019 Posted August 12, 2019 I just go to the sinking corpus drop ship, Tromyzon spawn there quite easily, so with some patience and some 20 minutes at most, you're set.

Ok, let's do this the correct way?https://www.framemastery.com/orb-vallis-map/ 1. The cave dead north of Fortuna (top of map), which houses water and possible toroids. You can fish up, Charamote (warm/cold). https://warframe.fandom.com/wiki/Charamote 2. Pond (road through it) dead east of Fortuna, and just above the Harindi Crater. You can fish up, Tromyzon (cold). https://warframe.fandom.com/wiki/Tromyzon 3. The depo just outside Fortuna, with the 2 slug pipes. Stand on the floating barge. You can fish up, Longwinder (warm). https://warframe.fandom.com/wiki/Longwinder Good luck! Edited August 13, 2019 by GrazedZero

No way to tell from the outside of the cave, otherwise they look like open-water hotspots (sort of oily patches on Venus or bubbly water on Earth.) That sucks. I have not yet seen a single cave hotspot. Must be my graphics settings or just me not paying attention then. 😞 Typically, I go in and throw my bait in and pray for it to work. I assumed because some were working and some weren't that there was a cave hotspot kind of thing but while I can see the bubbling/rippling water on Cetus and the glowing water on Orb Vallis I can't see anything different in the caves. 😞
0 (PSN)AbBaNdOn_IGN Posted August 13, 2019 Posted August 13, 2019 Lake - warm - hotspots - longwires Ponds - cold - hotspots - trom Caves - hotspots - charamotes

0 sinnae Posted August 14, 2019 Posted August 14, 2019 I get this done in under 20 minutes every time in one of the caves. Charamotes spawn reliably in there. Can't remember where on the map it is.
