PopTartZombie
I just noticed recently, with Excal Prime, there is a prime parts toggle, but this function changes absolutely nothing. I have multiple skins that I've tested this with. Why is it there? Are there planned aesthetic updates to for Excal prime?
5H4DE
That option is there for all primes, unfortunately, the only "Prime stuff" on excal prime's body is a different paint pattern from the original. If he's ever going to get a visual update, I doubt it will be anything more than a texture update, doubt they'll add new shiny bits to be toggled on and off on skins (to avoid public outcry that will definitely come from some non-founders). Personally I do wish Excal Prime was a little more than just a void key slapped on his helmet.
Midas
Fewer and fewer players will be playing excal prime so I doubt it. The facts are that those players are done with the grind game and are beginning to move on or wait for more content only to play it briefly. AkyFenrir
Excalibur prime is a very very touchy subject... Considering how as founder we're being viewed as jerks and elitists. That exclusivity shouldn't be a thing and everyone should have it (still a thing after Umbra) Somehow, all those people got what they want, Excalibur Prime is a joke by now. In term of power and skins it's completely below Umbra. Just a thing taking dust in our orbiter and granting us some mastery to remind us we believed in this game... Even if i could use Excal P skin on my umbra i'm not sure i would do it, Umbra is just cooler ... And there's litterally no way we'll get a visual upgrade for our prime! DE don't want the fuss it would generate ! At this point, making Prime a forgotten memory would be one of the best option for DE ... Sadly. (XBOX)Zweimander
Umbra will be all the craze when sentiance becomes a thing we fight more often so normal excal/prime will end up shelved in favor of effectivness anyway. But yeah Excal prime makes no difference with the toggle on or off basically from what I have seen.
Valiant
On 2019-08-13 at 2:37 PM, (XB1)GaussPrime said: Frost has the same "issue" Only difference with Frost is that it affects some model clipping in the upper area with helmets other than his prime, or maybe the other way round? I forget at the moment... It's touch odd but does stop the clipping. So it's more of a clipping fix than anything, especially as his prime bits aren't really separate like the other older primes, they're just reskinned onto the original model. I forget at the moment... It's touch odd but does stop the clipping. It would be the former. Frost Prime has a narrower “neck” area so helmets made for the base version tend to clip through it. Shame only more recent Tennogen skins support the toggle functionality though. Older skins for Frost don’t change at all, which does result in clipping issues compared to the Emperor and Ion skins.
