Why Play Warfram3

Genuine question why to people play warframe if they find it boring/a chore, cause looking at the forum it seems no one actually enjoys the game.

Side note - a friend that I started playing about a year ago with burnt himself out by farming just fish for like 2 months to sell now he sits on thousands of plat and bunch of rivens and only logins to play for nightwave and he echoes a similar sentiment as I generally find on the forum.

Also I do understand that concept of FOMO but why would u keep playing if the future of the game looks bleak to u.

I'm playing for 5 years now and I'm excited everyday to log in (except the first nightwave season but that has been fixed) and I'm nowhere near the end. Only the first nightwave felt like a chore, and was unfun, but besides that (which has been fixed) I'm invested and excited about upcoming stuff. (I mean, look at my name 🙄)

Lol can see that, I actually liked the first nightwave loads of objectives(also didn't have everything so was kinda incentived to farm for stuff like invasion weapons and moas)

Not everyone. I still love it (most of it anyway), and am mostly here to yell back at the people yelling for Warframe to be a different game. That or yell at DE to fix/remove Nigthwave.

I guess because it's often hard to let go and move on or not feel dissapointed when something you have enjoyed so much has more or less played itself out for you. That's why when I first joined a year and a half ago with concerns about "endgame" wringing in my ears I chose not to rush through it and am still enjoying the midlevel sweet spot.

forums used to be more positive but like any popular game, it grew to be filled with more people coming to complain about issues as of late

also remember the vocal minority of forums is not he sum of all the players maybe 5% comes here of the millions

as for myself fashion frame, builds, build synergies ect are my fun

Yeah, that's my perception about forums, (game forums in general, not only Warframe), people who stay in the foruns usually are the ones that are tired of the game, the people that enjoy the game don't come because they preffer to go playing the game.

That's a thing that can make any game boring really fast, excessive focus on the reward. I made this mistake when farming for Garuda, was so busy grinding, that forgoth to enjoy the game, and started getting really tired of the Orb Valis.

My philosophy about grinding: "the best way to deal with it, is ignoring it" just enjoy the game and don't worry, you'r reward is there, just waiting for you, no hurry

i'm playing the game for 2 years now and still enjoiying a lot :D

Didn't we just have a similar thread to this one?

At a certain point Warframe become a game I came back to after a significant update or a comfortable and reliable game to play between other games. For a few days/weeks following an update, I very much enjoy burning through the new content at my own pace. When there is nothing new, I'm happy to play other games while keeping up with Warframe by watching devstreams, primetime, and reading the forum.

Hearing how the sausage is made is often better than getting the chance to eat it and is one of the main reasons I appreciate DE. I do not complain about "content drought", I do not need or expect Warframe to provide me with something to do every day and I prefer less frequent large updates over more frequent small updates. I just want to ignore Warframe when it doesn't have something new to offer.

Some of the Nightwave acts feel like boring chores when you've had your fill of the existing content and are only doing it for the rewards. I resent Nightwave because it's changed my relationship with the game by bribing me to replay existing content when I would otherwise choose not to. Power creep has adversely affected my ability to enjoy replaying completed content just for the sake of playing.

For example:

I have fond memories of ODD from when I was a new player (I apparently farmed enough mutagen to solo fund the Hema the day it released), but choosing ODD for nostalgia to complete the 20 wave defense weekly while also killing 150 enemies with blast for the daily ended up being a complete snooze fest and wasn't anything like what I remembered.

Collecting new mods is one of my few remaining joys, so that means waiting for the NW drip feed of weekly tasks since there's no way to speed it up...and that means getting grumpy about it.

What was the problem with the first NW?

I see this NW is same as the other one , just an infested theme instead.
