Room Deconstruction Question

I recenty demolished obstacle course to make space for a new lab.

The reason for which i did this is that i have seen they say the mats used to build it are returned, however i had to spend a forma again to build the lab.

Now the question is, if they do give you back the mats, where are they?

So basically i lost a forma unless they keep tabs on that and they will refund them then?

Its like all the materiels you used to build the Obstacle course (even Formas) are saved into the Clan Vault after that specific part has been destroyed, these materials can be used for the next construction of the same part or a different part.

That much i understand, but there is no vault, i already destroyed the room and got no mats back ....

I just destroyed a bunch of rooms and such in my dojo, I checked, there is a vault. Any materials that were used to build those rooms will be available when building new rooms.
