Fix Valkyr Ripline

As much as I love Valkyr, I must admit that I agree with the community when they say that she needs a rework. And while other people have ideas for her other abilities, I specifically want to talk about her ability one, because it is my favorite conceptually. I have no problem with using it to swing around the battlefield since that's awesome (albeit unnecessary), but it is borderline worthless in a fight. At best, it can keep a priority Target out of the fight for a little bit, but it's hard to capitalize on since physics on  the ragdolls are so unreliable.

I want to see the interaction with enemies completely reworked to give it much more utility in a fight. What I came up with is this: when Ripline connects with an enemy, the line stays attached to them and stuns them, keeping them out of the fight. This drains energy for the duration that it is active. Recasting it pulls VALKYR toward the enemy while giving them a swipe with her claws, similar to how Wukong's old 1 summoned his staff.

Not only will this make her one infinitely more useful, I also feel it synergizes better with her kit and keeps her constantly moving toward the enemy, which fits the character better as well.

Dunno, single-target CC that even drains further Energy, seems woefully underpowered, TBH.

Neat, but, well, that's kind of what her Prolonged Paralysis Augment already does
(mind, that could stand to get buffed a bit, not least since it removes the Finisher pwnage).


FWIW, here's something I think might work / be fun:

On tapping 1, you get a mobility function for 5 (maybe 10) Energy that's more snappy / direct than the current version
(my high-Range build pulls Valkyr for a disappointingly short distance, and on shallow angles, just drags her on the floor for a few meters at best).
If you hit an enemy with it, you pounce onto them, drain 20 (15) Energy more and do a forced Finisher
(or just the damage of one if the target isn't susceptible to Finishers).

Holding 1 enters a Blade Storm-esque targeting mode, upon release every enemy within LOS that got marked
gets (quickly, and directly) pulled towards Valkyr and she gives them a nice lil' Hysteria swipe once in range.
Would cost ... let's say 10 Energy per enemy, and has a max cap of, dunnno, how 'bout 5 targets
(and enemies that can't be pulled would just take the Hysteria swipe damage).

That would also be pretty awesome. I thought of the CC since a lot of her kit deals with that, so I think that's supposed to be her role on the team (?) But either way, using 1 to leap onto enemies just makes so much sense to me.

I've commented on this a lot.  It needs to be a knockdown gap closer.

1. Targeting an enemy requires less precision, more of a cone than a pinpoint. 

2. RIP line pulls valkyr to enemy, not enemy to her. 

3. Valkyr impacts target and lands on them, knocking them down and sliding beneath valkyr like a body board for a few feet. 

4. Certain weapons such as daggers, claws, brawling gloves, will launch automatically into a finisher on the downed enemy. 

Basically this makes the skill focused on mobility and getting her from engagement to engagement.

How about locking the range to x meeters. Then having range mods effect the number of lines thrown out, and the combo counter can be a multiplayer to that so with out mods and at max combo you would get something like 16 targets. It would give it more combat use for just pulling groups to you, and add a decreased cost when cast during histeria. For the augment just double the line count remove the damage on mobs and let it disarm them.

She's the go personal frame, wish her rip line to affect all the enemies into line of sight into xx meters, can have a sinergy with E let's say if you press melee when the enemies come into you, you can do great amount for damage or make the hit a sure critical for all the enemies that get into you pluss maintain the x1-n consecutive damage multiplier, another ability of her that need some work it's her 3.

 

Edit: can make that the far that its the enemy the highest the damage dealth when you pinnata them back, can add a gimmick like gara 1, press for regular riplone, hold for line of sight pinnata.

Also her passive can include +10% melee speed.
