Orokin Catalysts and Nightwave

Hey guys, I am in serious need of orokin catalysts. Is there anyway to get them without sortie? Btw I searched and they are a reward in the gift of the lotus event. When is it going to be in PS4?

Also you can buy them in nightwave. Do you known when Nightwave will get another "episode" in the console?

Well, Nightwave is active now. We get new missions every week.

 

Farm prime parts, and sell prime junk/parts. Then just buy them. That’s what I would suggest you do.

This. It might sound weird, but given the limited quantity, I see Nightwave Creds as more valuable than Platinum in the aspect of how much you have to work with. Obviously Platinum is going to buy way more things in the game and you should cherish it, but Nightwave Creds are the only real reliable source for Aura Mods, Nitain Extract, Vauban, exclusive skins, etc. The 20 Platinum for a Catalyst is much cheaper and easier to work for than the Creds.

Yeah and when you start a new "episode" in the first level you get enough cred to buy 2 catalysts or reactors and a bunch of other stuff

Yeah, The Nightwave price is a bit high... Though the Orokin Catalyst drops from other sources, such as the aforementioned Sorties, 20 plat for a catalyst and Invasions.

There is about 3 - 4 weeks left (in theory) on the current one. We don’t know when the next will be, it could be many weeks. You really cannot be in “serious need” of these items if you are prepared to wait that long. I am going to stick to my earlier “just farm prime parts” suggestion.

So you can get catalysts from several sources:

The invasions, on a fairly regular basis, also potentially dropping other "rare" loot

Every day I check the current invasions to see if any of the "rare" loot is available, catalyst, forma, exilus adapter, and complete the invasion to keep up my stock pile.
