Making a mirage rework thread, any pointers?

If she's gonna work based on Light/Dark level in a tile, then there needs to be a better way to tell what the light level of any given area counts as. Her Eclipse would make her really strong, if it weren't for the fact that it's impossible to know if you're gonna get 95% damage reduction, or none at all, when standing in a certain spot. Give her some way to send out a pulse that highlights light and dark areas better, maybe just when you cast/recast Eclipse.

  • Keep/add emphasis on Light/Dark. Have Light/Dark be equally powerful, just different.
  • Make her buffs more reliable, but don't remove all the gameplay.
  • Keep in mind that Hall of Mirrors is solely responsible to nerfs to weapons like Kohm and is restrictive to weapon design.
  • Try not to lose sight of the trickster/showman themes.

And something that applies to every rework, try to give her a role. Buffs and reworks for the sake of buffs and reworks mean nothing, buffs and reworks should have an end-goal. Come up with a 'big picture idea of what you think Mirage should do, then work down from there.

my proposal:

- Hall of Mirrors should throw out independent Clones, instead of them all moving together in unison. the reason being that AoE attacks will Still hit the "real" mirage regardless, whereas if the clones did their own thing, they could draw agro away from the player more effectively.

- Sleight of Hand should have a stronger flash bang-type effect. Turrets and lasers work mostly ok, but the Locker Traps don't work that well. I'd like it if the lockers opened automatically (unless they are locked) and threw their contents across the room, with enemies caught in the "loot-splosion" taking damage.

- Eclipse needs to have the damage reduction fixed (it isn't actually 95%, it just says it is) and a better indication of light and dark zones. perhaps give the player an altered vision where dark spots show up one colour and light shows up another. could also be allowed to affect enemies; enemies in light have a chance to get blinded, enemies in dark have reduced accuracy.

- Prism works OK, but could use a damage buff and a reduction in casting time; far too easy to get killed before the Prism is cast.

these changes IMO would make Mirage a hell of a lot stronger. a frame that manipulates Light and Dark - something quite essential to our existence - should be powerful.

Mirage is one of those warframes that are effective but not very interesting, because her kit revolves around basic damage buffs. Her gameplay boils down to "recast buff when it runs out". Kinda like Chroma.

Sleigh of Hand is a weird mess of strange effects, and the most useful thing about it is turning off corpus cameras.

Prism is incredibly slow

Well overall she an ok frame sleight of hand needs something done to it to make it a little more useful, prism could stand a slight damage boost if even at the cost of some range, hall of mirrors is pretty good as is, but I feel prism could stand to be a tap for either damage or damage reduction and a hold for the other to allow us a little more flexibility on getting our desired buff when want.

Dont post it in general for starters, use feedback subforums.

Not sure if i understand your question right because to me it reads "what pointers can you give on writing a feedback thread", but it seems most people read it as what feedback about mirage is most important?
