Perhaps the problem is your PC, not the game? Frequent blue screens is not the sign of a well running PC.

Hosting requires a lot more CPU power, due to how it works.
You cant simply host a "raid" as of b4 on a 4core, every1 gona lag/delay, including u gona get FPS drops/etc.
2nd part is your poor router thats given by the provider and sh1t itselfs on 10 connections going on.
3rd its your darn ISP, cuz p2p is not used that much nowadays, there may be issues players connecting to you, which causes issues heavier than the CPU bound stuff.
4th Dedicated servers will solve every issue but they cost a lot of money, not cuz of the "Server Hardware" but the proper Hosting /including UPS's and etc/ that a low end ISP /most of them/ cant do.

Despite all that, GGG/PathofExile have dedicated servers while DE/Warframe doesnt.  😕

Because Warframe doesn't have dedicated server

The only server DE uses are for

Missions are peer-to-peer between players. Either you or the Host has bad internet

Why do they bother wasting Servers on the Relays?

I have no reason to interact with any other players in Relays; and frankly the only reason I even visit Relays themselves is because there's no Simulacrum Access from my Orbiter.

Seems like they could redistribute those resources elsewhere.... Dedicated Open World Server pls? so fishing trips don't get ruined by that host putzing around on the other side of the map who I had nothing to do with?

Blue Screens, eh? Time to throw your Win10 thingy from the roof of a skyscraper, that's clearly its fault...

There is one though, its called "Invite Only" so you can be the host, and then you can go fishing in peace that way.

Surprised this hasn't just been answered directly.

Regardless of P2P hosting, DE can't really do anything for China in international Warframe because that's under the jurisdiction of China's own localized version of Warframe.

Kinda defeats the point of an 'Open' World, if you only ever play it Solo

... Well, you don't want to be affected by morons that have nothing to do with your fishing, right? You can always switch it back to Public once you're done... that's why its "selective"...

... decisions, decisions...

I may be replying to this a bit late so I'm not sure if OP will see it. On the topic of the blue screens, that's going to be more of an issue to your PC specifically, you could have a failing piece of hardware or a wonky driver or even a goofy Windows update.

As for the game though, as others have stated, the game doesn't use dedicated servers it's peer to peer, (in non-social areas anyway) so closer the player hosting is, the better your connection is, if you're in China however, China has it's own version of Warframe that's ran externally by another company. If you're posting on this forum I assume you're on the rest-of-world version, where most of the world is playing at, since the majority of Chinese Warframe players are probably on your local country's version, that is most likely why you're not getting good connections, because the majority of players are nowhere inside China itself on the rest-of-world version of the game

So why not set up a server in China?come on whatever GIF

The reason is, there is already Warframe for players in China. Published by ChangYou (PC), Perfect World (PS4) and Digital Extremes.

You access/download the China version here: http://wf.changyou.com/

The only way you can access the Global servers is bypassing China's internet blocks via VPN, which you are not supposed to in the first place. Therefore, I don't understand why players from China don't just access the game via the China servers and insist on bypassing the internet restrictions to play on the Global servers, only then to complain about the connection issues?
