So apparently for those who already reached the rank 30 in Nightwave The Emissary, the prestige ranks beyond that only give 15 Nora credits, same as it was with Series 1. For what I remember, they had told us that the prestige ranks for Series 2 would have a higher credit reward than Series 1, so...did they forget to make that change?

Well, I'd provide enough credits to at least (optionally) buy a potato each week, so 75 instead of the current 60. Or so I briefly read in another post about this issue.

But apart from that it's mostly an optional tier and it still has rewards no matter how small they may seem. So it's not all that bad imo.

That hasn't happened either. There hasn't been a new item in the Creds shop in a few weeks. I don't mind because I will keep buying Nitain Extract, but 15 Creds is not incentivizing to go past 30 still.

No, what I meant was there would be more items in the rotations. As I understand it, items list are set in stone until the next Season. This Season we got some new weapon skins, Wisp and Hildryn helmets, Wolf beacons, and Kuva.

In fact, I've been spending all of my Creds on Kuva so far.

Because they didn't say it. 15 creds may be small per rank, but it is on average more than the first 30 ranks.

Nitan is the way to go, it's the only thing it's pretty near exclusive to nightwave.   Just spend all credits on that, just one season you probably get more than you'll ever need...but one day there's going to probably be a research item that's going to require thousands of them for no apparent reason, so I'm gonna stock up.

Let me copy what i wrote after the last season^^

Oh and btw: Your average cred per week is already higher after rank30 than before rank 30 (average per rank before Rank 30=13.3)

Imo, everyone complaining about this is missing a few things, and maybe you can see it from a different perspective after reading this...

 

  1. Be happy that you can still get something at all after hitting "max"-rank on Nightwave. I was honestly expecting that we are simply done with it once we get to that rank and that there is nothing after that - so take the ranks after 30 as what they are - a Bonus, nothing more and nothing less
  2. Rank 30 was supposed to be the goal that players are looking forward to get to. The whole way it was communicated, for example with the Devs saying that you need to do 60%-70% of the tasks to get to the finish line implies that there is shouldnt be anything beyond rank 30

I have seen people ask for exclusive cosmetic rewards (which you cant get anywhere else) or really good rewards like Kuva, Rivens or huge amounts of ressources. If that would be the case, you couldnt say anymore that "you only need to do ~60% of the tasks to get the good rewards" - no, all of a sudden you need to do 100% of the tasks and maybe even start to farm the fugitives like crazy to get the good rewards
  4. we had tons of threads saying that people "feel forced to play things they dont like", "feel burned out from Nightwave" and much more. Imagine the outrage if you are not allowed to miss out on a single task to get the good rewards that come beyond rank 30
  5. Nightwave is supposed to be the replacement for Alerts, not some sort of Endgame that gives you insanely good rewards if you play nonstop. Still, with some cosmetics and the Umbra Forma primarly, it managed to get Vets hooked while still having rewards for everyone in there. Did you play any Alerts besides Nitain before? Thats probably the case for 99% of the Vets that are now requesting more great rewards beyond rank 30, and if thats the case, Nightwave should have been a huge improvement in comparison to Alerts for you.

Could Nightwave improve its Reward-structure?

Definetly.

Could DE implement something after hitting Rank30?

Probably yes.

 

But that shouldnt be more rewards, but a Bonus. Regarding to Lore, it surely would have been nice if there has been a final fight against the Wolf for example, something that this whole season leads to. The wolf would drop the same stuff he does when he randomly spawns, so it wouldnt be anything exclusive, still people would feel rewarded with a (nice) bossfight at the end of it. They could increase the dropchances for the weapon parts in this final boss fight, so if you havent been lucky so far with him spawning at all or dropping the right parts when he spawns, this Bossfight could provide the parts for you.

 

I think it is a good thing that Nightwave doesnt hand out good rewards endlessly, but at the same time i think they should do something at the End of each season that really tells the player that they are at the end and feels rewarding at the same time. I can understand that people say that 15 Wolfcreds isnt much, and you know what, i agree with that! The difference is, i dont think that there really should be something to keep farming, because ofc people complain about it being bad. But if its not bad, the whole system is flawed.

the kuva isnt too bad, since its the only cred offering we dont need a definate amount of. what else will you spend cred on when you have all the helmets,weapons,skins, and a massive stockpile of nitain?

as for the wolf beacons. the point wasnt what is new in the recent weeks of season 2, it was "what is new from season 2 compared to season 1"

So in other words we got some new stuff in NW2, but only some new stuff, not just piles and piles of new stuff, so that means that we can claim that we got nothing new?

I don't get the ppl who play this game but celebrate if they don't have to play the game.

Btw the prestige ranks should stay the way they are. There is no reason to give use 30 creds (or more) per prestige at all. Mainly because the only must have from the store is nitain. And making cosmetics even more obtainable is like shooting yourself in the leg kinda.
