Solatic
I would like to see the glow/outline of enemies and objects have customizable colors. Firstly, the synthesis scanner has an orange overlay on it's UI with makes it incredibly to see anything unscanned (red glow). This could be alleviated if I could change all unscanned entities to say blue (and then maybe already scanned entities to red or something). The next issue and more importantly to me is that there is that I see an objectively valuable reason to not use the mechanic the way it was meant to be used. If you scan Grineer and Infested, this makes farming Kavat genetic codes more difficult, and as such I'm currently not using the scanner despite my desire to. If it was possible, an option to change the completed scan glows on a faction to faction basis would alleviate that. (That or even just the option to change specific entities to a certain color, but I could foresee that causing problems).

Does scanning grineer and infested stop Kavats from spawning? Does it nerf the drop rate? (Rhetorical) I don't see any correlation between scanning things that aren't Kavats and the Genetic codes.... Solatic
When units aren't fully scanned they appear red opposed to green, meaning it's advantageous not to scan Grineer or Infested assuming you're doing exterminate. Obviously this is because you can easily make out Kavats, especially when the enemies group up and just form a big blob of red. If they were all the same color, it's more difficult to make out the Kavats from everything else. Edited August 19, 2019 by Toys
Bioboygamer
I was just thinking that this would be useful, especially since I tend to use Scanners as a way to plan out upcoming rooms and encounters. It's be nice to have a way of highlighting particularly strong or troublesome enemies to better strategize. Plus, the red/green scanner colors are difficult to see on certain tilesets - Grineer Galleon is a particularly egregious example. Plus, you know, colorblindness is a thing, with red/green being a common type.
