Just a newbie looking for some info

Hola gang, 

I started playing this game back in 2016, grinded for a bit eventually got Nyx prime and some weapons - novice mastery 5 rank etc. So I bought some platinum (371) and im unsure of how to utilize it properly; I've looked around and people suggest to buy slots and give my account some more openings but I just want to straight up get stuff, go around kill things and generally just enjoy the game with some bad ass equipment. Warframe-wise im thinking of either buying Ash Prime or Loki prime (which cost about 170 - 200 plat). but weapon-wise and other equipment-wise im not sure what to get. Essentially I want my inventory to be stuff I can use throughout the long run. If there's any useful advice you guys could give me I would really appreciate it!

The reason I would second the suggestion of buying slots is that while its not useful right off the bat, you will need slots to "straight up get stuff, go around kill things" soon enough. You can farm some seriously powerful frames and/or weapons in game itself but you cannot farm the slots. Once you get bored of that one frame you spent your plat on, or depending on the situation you might need another frame, you will need slots. For example, Loki Prime or Ash Prime are good buys, especially if you like a stealth gameplay, but they won't be extremely good with defense missions or such. Eventually you'll want variety and its better to consider that point as well.

That said, if you've considered all that and are still intent on buying a frame or weapon, thats a purely subjective choice and I will agree that Loki Prime is pretty fun :) Other options to consider are Saryn Prime or Volt Prime or Nekros Prime.

Like the guy above said, the slots are a great help in the begining, but just playing the game modes and doing relic runs, you'll get frames you weren't even farming for, while farming for the one you are looking for, but i see you are on PC, if you need help, i can try and assist where i can, just shoot an invite to me when you have time and we can see where i can help farming some materials or parts fir weapons and frames

I use rhino prime, for the survival and buffing, when i first got rhino i kept him for his 4th, it helped me a lot when i was starting out, I've recently built Nezha, you can get him from a clan dojo, just need the materials needed to build him (we can help farm those if you want) for me he scales well to arbitrations up to level 100 enemies (for what i use him for) he is a fun frame and i do enjoy playing with him, wukong you can also get from the clan dojo, after his rework he is pretty good, i use him for missions up to level 110 and he seems to do very well there aswell and he is fun to use specially if you are a busy person and doing things in the background, put a well built kohm on him and pull out your melee weapon and his celestial twin (1st ability) will use the gun, and the twin does very well with it (i dont have a riven for my kohm)

He's right you know
