Volt Mitigation

If I see a volt that isn't crouching behind a shield in the Plains of Eidolon I abort.  I don't even feel guilty about it anymore.

Other annoyances courtesy of other frame abilities I've encountered have a way out (e.g., roll out of the rift), can be avoided (e.g., Wisp's buffs) or simply ignored, but nothing is more annoying than an ill-timed speed buff from Volt.

It is the only buff I'm aware of that truly forces a play-style on others. It can also easily make things where time is of the essence problematic, like the problem of extracting yourself from under the stairs when you should be sailing through the air towards a comforting green circle.   Git gud is not the answer.

I am not in favor of nerfing things.  I am in favor of a means of mitigation.  If ones exists I'm missing please tell me.

You can remove it also by rolling, aim and roll backwards.

But yeah i agree it should have a cooldown or trigger, it is annoying at certain power strengths, even at normal strength its irritating at best, especially in small corridors.

I literally get motion sickness at times from it, only using it in certain intervalls myself at best but not all the time.

I wonder if being AFK is considered a playstyle, but i'm sure many meta users would consider it as that.

At least with Volt's 2 you can get rid of it with the back dodge...I have to jump off a cliff to get rid of Wisp haste mote. They're both great for increasing attack speed and overall dps and all that, I guess. And yet...both drive me crazy. I feel like I have no control over my own frame and my own playstyle. It feels vastly intrusive. Feels terrible to ask other randoms not to use their abilities...so I just leave.

Why do that? It's not like the plains have some difficult missions that require some tactical team work or whatever  just let the players do what they like

Don't enforce your playstyle on others

Or just play alone if you think you're so good about everything

That volt might be having the time of his life right now while you're here growling that some randoms on poe didn't play how you wanted them to play
