Tridolon hunt party

Recommended Posts

Can DE put the tridolon hunt behind something like after rank 3 or 4 with quill Onkko? Most nights I stop trying to form a party because I end up most the time with a group of limbos with corinth shotguns that have no business in the tridolon hunt, it would be better if people were required to spend some time on the teralyst, figuring out the fight and what works at least a little before being able to join a tridolon hunt.

Or how about we just remove the stupid nighttime requirement? That would solve 90% of the problem.

Honesty terry is easy to solo. Even in pug you be lucky if you got 1 guy to be helpful. Its doable

But tri run. Better get a proper team. Go to recruit chat. Ask for casual run.

People tend to be picky to do a speed run with unknown pug.

While I won't agree that Tridolon bounty should be gated that way....

I will say that the overall structure of Eidolon Hunting is.... well.... complete Horse S#&$.... and needs to be restructured for players at different levels of progression....

Seriously.... the power levels of players can vary greatly but theres only 2 Bounties ? Seems lazy.... they should add more tiers to the Eidolons...

I find its random. Sometimes I'll join groups that stand no chance of doing all bosses.

Other times we'll beat all three but barely.

And a few times groups have been great no one died at all and we are able to beat all three multiple times in one night.

All luck of the draw with public groups.

And crash the arcane market in the process? How about no. But I would rather people can attempt The Eidolons daily anytime like Sorties, so people with a life have a chance to fight it.

Because figuring out how the Teralyst works really helps everyone understand the Gantulyst and Hydrolyst fight... You know, everything that Teralyst doesn't have, like acid rain, space laser beams, giant shields that kill you if you touch them, instakill lightning... Sure the mechanics are the same with shields and synovia, just everything else is quite a bit different (namely knowing how to stay alive from these new types of attacks you don't experience with Teralyst)!

I feel like they should stratify the bounties to include just Teralyst+Gantulyst, because there's just no way anyone who has mastered Teralyst is going to figure out the other two without quite a few tries on them!  It should be more like this IMO:

Bounty 1: Kill Teralyst

(New!) Bounty 2: Kill the Teralyst and Gantulyst

Bounty 3: Kill the Teralyst, Gantulyst and Hydrolyst.

Yes.... I swear we burn that market to ground....

That being said.... I like your idea too.... atleast on the surface....

I agree with the idea of some checks for the Tridolon fights, (not for the Teralyst)

a minimum MR and standing rank with onko does seem most suited. I forget at which rank you need to sacrifice the eidolon shards to progress. That should probably be the requirement.

But running pug is always a risk, having a recruited group with common intention is always better.

I personally don't like the Tridolon fights, they take too much from my pc, give me a migraine if not an epileptic attack and can still bug out Ocassionally. It also brings out the worst in people as potential Plat is on the line,

I avoid it unless there is a specific reason or one of the clan mates needs to do it for some reason and needs help.

I've got only about 20 tricaps, but all of those were done in bounty pugs, not even from recruit chat. Only a few times I've seen a group that didn't manage to capture all three of them.
The last run was particularly fun as I figured out at last what was wrong with my RubicoP and ended up doing more than half the damage for that run )

Simple, Rank 2 with the Quills or you can't queue for the Hydrolist bounty.

You can still just enter with a group at night and attempt it, however.

Such kind of bosses that relies a lot on specific setups and roles for efficiency should have a proper lobby imo. Especially for pugs it would be great if we could get a chance to set up our roles before heading out and it's too late. Even if you get into a squad with experienced players the risk is that you lack a healing or dps frame, which is just comedy. Recruit Chat is imo just a very primitive work-around, and is usually just used to avoid noobs completely rather than balancing squads with experienced and people looking to learn.

I'm not one of those speedrunners, but I'd prefer to not spend like 40 mins on a single tridolon bounty. 2-3 Tridolons in one night is more my pace, which is near impossible in pugs because in 9/10 cases you end up with either speedrunners that most often leave the squad or constantly complain in chat, or complete noobs that are not equipped to do any good nor knows how to do the fight. It's not the players fault, but how blindly public squads are made without a lobby, and of course the lack of any informative introduction to how Harry and Garry works. I'm really suprised DE didn't update this with the PoE Remaster.

Either way there will always be plenty of confused people in pugs there when it's a NW mission, like this week. Kudos to the experienced players who stick around and carry squads without losing their mind in chat.

Damn. I'd love that.

Heck, make it so you need to build something to force night like behaviour in the plains.. actually luring them out..

I think even I would get more interested in fighting them, the time limit is just ruining the fun of casual players because you constantly are under pressure. And recruiting for them is just awful and stressful.

Go recruit ūüėõ¬†

Recruits for eidolons have absurd requirements like 200 caps min and even with recruit you will end with people having no idea what to do andThey ask for the same stupid frames because some streamers told them they are meta.

For tridolon the requisites should be having 1 unbound passive unlocked and 2 amps gilded...

What I think people need to learn by just fighting the teralyst is that radiation damage is key, snipers are best, need to get a better amp, some warframes greatly benefit the flow of the fight. As long as they have learned those things I can help them on the latter two eidolons, I was there once I dont mind helping some players learn, but I want them to at least be able to be productive. I think by the time you are rank 3 with onkko you have learned the basics and can be helpful in a Gantulyst fight.

Not if you're the one hosting. Recruit for a "casual 2x3" or "educational tridolon." You can check profiles and only take people with minimum 10 caps, whatever you want. That's the beauty of recruiting your own teams.

Chill eidolons has  not such 200 caps required, now you want to do a 5x3 without putting the effort in gear/consumables/schools/learning on the back of other 3 people?

4x3 requirement is around 100 caps. That's is not even that much. if you really do 3x3. 2 nighs per day = 6 caps. A little more than 2 weeks, you have 100 caps.

Maybe they are trolls but generally i see these requirements in the chat.

BTW Is it possible to make a 6X3?

Recruiting exsists go there.  There are 2 groups of people that do pub tridolons those that can solo it and those that don't know what it is.  That being said I have over 300 captures over 2 platforms and never done anything but pub tridolons.

I think Teralyst can help with the whole "staying alive" aspect. The thing that takes new players by surprise is how much you have to use and rely on transference and void mode. Nowhere else in the game do you spend so much time spamming 5 and jumping in and out of your frame. During Teralyst you get comfortable with this idea of "if something weird and scary is happening - loud noises - bright lights - I'm taking damage from everything - go into void mode."

Sure the attack patterns are vastly different from Gantulyst/Hydrolyst but you're at least accustomed to liberally abusing 5 to stay alive.

So make your own requirements.

6x3 is possible, YouTubers like DoubleXXF have a lot of full hunt 6x3 videos using various gimmick builds/loadouts.

Snipers are not the best, the best for now are throwing bombs....
