75% off PS4 - how do I get platinum?

I just got the 75% off reward, I'd like to buy some plat but everytime I do it is full price (tried here, but it just redirects me to the sony store and tried on my PS4, same thing but the sony store on my console) ...I see some items in the market on my ship are 75% off but I do not want to buy away things I can earn in game, pay to not play. I would like to get some platinum to get mods I don't have or for slots as needed, forma packs when needed - things like that. 

If you get a discount on PC, you just come here buy the amount of platinum you want at the discounted price and use it I see fit or if a need arises over time - including trading with other players... is that not possible on PS4? Do I have to go buy the plat at full price and then buy EVERYTHING I might want *just from the market* in the next 24 hours? If I am right and that is the system, that is terrible compared to PC. Please tell me I am wrong.

As the previous poster said, not possible on PS4. I believe it has to do with how the different storefronts operate; PC players buy their platinum directly through the Warframe website, which is controlled by DE, so they can handle individual platinum discounts on their own terms. Console players purchase platinum through the console's storefront, which likely does not have the framework required to handle discounts on an individual basis (and if it does have that ability it would likely require a great deal of negotiation between DE and the host to implement, which is more work than DE wants to commit). Instead, they offer the discounts as discounts through the game itself, as that is a platform they control and can therefore handle discounts on their own terms.

Hi not possible on ps4 sadly. You can use it for in game items only not platinum, tennogen and certain cosmetic and item bundles. It kind of sucks.

Thanks for the answer (you and (PS4)Zeo-mare) - I'm kinda shocked and really disappointed - I've gone from what is the largest plat package I can buy (was assuming $50 like PC) to I'm not going to buy any. I get it is a different store but who would ever buy plat at full price in the hopes that you maybe get a discount offer later - then you have to spree shop, just the marketplace - which, mostly, is essentially buying away game content you can play now or later and something I never understood... 

I get supporting devs, I hope people do - but man this is so broken on consoles - how could they not find a way to fix it...  incredibly unfair to console players.
I have 2 accounts - MR26 on PC and this new one I started on my PS4 just for the fun of starting over and being able to warframe on my TV... but this is a kick to the motivational sack for sure. Every single Prime part and/or rare mod or god forbid one Baro decides to keep in a backroom for 8 months will be excruciatingly expensive or always a brutal grind. 
... Ya I'm going to stew on it... but I've gone from how much money can I throw at them to maybe I'll uninstall and just play PC and find something else to do on my PS4...

from time to time there is a discount on plat sales in playstation store... not much but better than nothing. it's not equal to the pc discount - but therefor ps4 has the 25/50/75% off reward which is missing on pc. this is most likely because of the different selling strategies in steam and playstation store. don't think thats this is something DE likes to do.

What really trigger me, the discount doesn’t apply to all market items, so bundles , slots and tennogen items are not included in the discount 😞

Only two possibilities to get plat.

 

1/ Buy it directly from the PSN store, be it a pure plat package or getting it in a bundle with some cosmetics/weapons or Prime warframe bundle

2/ Sell stuff in game to fellow players, be it mods, prime weapons/warframe (pieces or full sets), etc... Which is a grind and you have to deal with lots of entitled brats but it's not impossible to earn some decent plat in trade chat if you have patience.

I might be in the minority but I prefer the console system personally.  Waiting on RNG to give me a coupon for plat or wait for the console wide plat sales that happen 2-3 times every year.  Either way you wait and plan ahead and buy in bulk but on console the wait is guaranteed to end on a some what predictable schedule.

The other main positive on console is that since plat isn't as available from people overall buying less then plat is worth more in player to player trading.  Put simply the mod you buy on console should cost 50% less than the same mod on PC.  The stuff you buy from the market is 50% or 75% less because of the coupons we get (assuming the coupon can be used).

Another huge bonus for console that I don't personally care that much about is using plat for tennogen.  Plat I bought on sale over real money is a big difference... but I don't think much tennogen is worth buying.
