Arbellum Posted August 22, 2019 Posted August 22, 2019 The current use of syndicate glyphs to indicate which syndicate you support feels outdated, and honestly just straight up annoying. The necessity to have a particular glyph, that can be different from warframe to warframe, in order to ensure we actually get the syndicate standing we want could be better. Especially since I, and probably others, keep forgetting that we have the "wrong" glyph equipped, and so go into a mission and get standing for a syndicate other than the one we want for. Maybe the syndicate terminal should have an option to select the current syndicate we want to support, so the glyphs instead become purely cosmetic. This should also be universal, so we can choose the glyphs freely for each warframe, e.g. have the Assassin glyph on Ash for cosmetic reasons, instead of using the Oracle glyph to support my current Syndicate. 3
(PSN)Hikuro-93 Posted August 22, 2019 Posted August 22, 2019 (edited) Aye. I also don't see why not just choose what syndicate you wanna earn standing for at each given time, or why just a handful of sigils are more than cosmetic. Either make all of them cosmetic (my preferred choice), or give them all something special (Example, give Hyena's Sigil a "+5% companion damage/affinity/whatever). I don't like the second choice, however, because it would restrain fashion. In any case my current workaround for this is having Appearance tabs A, B and C themed after each of my syndicates. I am Loka, Perrin and Veil, and my tabs are usually in Green/Yellow-ish, Blue/Purple, Red/Purple/Orange according to each syndicate. Each of the sigils is hidden in the frame's back with both colors as black. So a wasted sigil slot, but still rep gain. So I identify the syndicate I am fighting for by frame color scheme. Not ideal but it does work for me. Right now I love Velorum Prime sigil on most of my frames. But I also like Bloodshed, so I end up having to choose between one and another, not being able to have both without sacrificing gameplay. Edited August 22, 2019 by (PS4)Hikuro-93
NinjaZeku Posted August 22, 2019 Posted August 22, 2019 My thoughts on this from a previous topic: On 2019-08-19 at 12:48 PM, NinjaZeku said: De-couple FashionFrame from Syndicate Standing gains, simply let us choose our currently supported Syndicate at the main Syndicate console / screen. Make Sigils a purely cosmetic thing (woo being able to actually use those 66 Sigils I have freely), maybe have the bonus Standing % be based on the amount of Sigils you own for that Syndicate or something. And apply the respective bonus % automatically to the Syndicate mission rewards, no matter your current support choice.

I mean... aside from cosmetic reasons, the only critique that you offer against the current Glyph system is "sometimes I derp and forget who I am supporting", which... yeah. It's not very solid. By the same token, your own solution is bad, because there's going to be people who come to the forum and say "well I sometimes forget to change the Syndicate I'm supporting and go into a mission and I get standing for a syndicate other than the one I want for". If your problem is "sometimes I forget", then your solution solves nothing. I mean, I can relate with "I want to be as pretty as possible, why can't I go around like a Red Veil pimp while supporting Cephalon Suda". 2
