(XBOX)LZonut Posted August 24, 2019 Share Posted August 24, 2019 Daggers are pretty weak. A nice buff would just be to give them an innate backstab bonus. Hitting enemies in the back gives you 100% bonus damage and maybe a guaranteed crit. Maybe let them always able to perform finishers on enemies as long as they are unalerted. Maybe make a mod that gives you invis after a stealth kill for daggers to make them a good stealth weapon for frames that don't have invis. Maybe deal 500% crit damage on heavy hits or combo parts. Daggers right now are pretty weak without Covert Lethality, and that is really the only special mod for daggers. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
taiiat Posted August 24, 2019 Share Posted August 24, 2019 when exactly are you currently not able to do Finishers on Enemies that are in an unalerted state? how do you manage to not be able to when they're in exactly the alert state that lets you perform Finishers. even on Karyst or a Dagger Zaw, increasing Crit Damage so much on a Dagger would be of so-so usefulness in most Gameplay, due to the limited Crit Chance available to Daggers? unless you mean both forcing Crits and increasing Crit Damage by that much. but that would be asking for deleting Enemies with half or more of the Mod Slots on the Dagger empty. far from necessary. while every Dagger ultimately has Covert Lethality on it, it's not because of the Finisher trait. it's because it also basically triples the Damage of any Dagger you put it on. my preferred Dagger(Karyst) Kills any Enemies i attack with it just fine, and i avoid doing Finishers as much as possible since they're slow and inefficient pretty much always. :) Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Not sure what causes it, but it can take 3-4 attempts before they are open to a finisher - and by attempt I mean letting them wake up and putting them to sleep again. Tried different angles of attack etc it just doesn't work - yet will work on the enemy right next to them. Level ground, nothing special about the way they are positioned etc. Even stinging thorn won't perform its finisher when it happens. Haven't found a way to perfectly replicate but its probably about 1 out of every 100 or so enemies - which adds up over a 4 hour survival for example. Doesn't seem to be a consistent enemy type - other than humanoid (corrupted butcher/bombard/lancer etc). While if IIRC it happens to me outside the void, I rarely run long missions with ivara anywhere else, I'm not 100% sure on that. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Urlan Posted August 24, 2019 Share Posted August 24, 2019 Yeah, that has been happening pretty consistently on front finishers since the last update that added to melee (after DE Steve mentioned working on some stealth finisher changes). Could be part of that or something to do with that Omni-tool synch kill during shown back at the Tennocon. Either way, Front finishers seem very inconsistent currently.
