Improving The Social Aspect of Warframe

So my thoughts on this is that we all spawn into this city-like ship when we login, like how they do in PSO2, where the NPCs live along with all the markets were Tenno gather and socialize, instead of region chat. What would also be good is if they gave us back our animation, so that we don't look like we're just floating in the air and moon-walking.

I'm thinking maybe we can do this when we get the Zariman back and rebuild it into a warship to carry us all on our journey to the Tau System and other places in the universe and go on adventures, just like in PSO2, this would broaden the scope of the game and create a lot of room, not only for social interactions, but for the whole game itself. Cause what will we do after we beat the Sentient? What will we do after we explored the Duviri Paradox? It just doesn't feel like there's much story connecting or explaining the existence of NPCs and the NPCs themselves lack depth in both backstory and character and we rarely interact with the rest of civilization in the universe as we would with each other.

We'll do what we always do.

Complain that there's no content, DE is out of touch with the players, make weird threads on GD, and shuffle about like starved zombies until the next content patch hits.

Yeaaaah. That's not good enough for me. Aren't you kind of bothered by how there's no chatter at all in the relays or in Fortuna and Cetus? Those are supposedly social hubs but it's just not social friendly. Now region chat is great but we need to be spawned in the same place. So I am hoping when we all login, we login on the massive ship we know as Zariman, and we get to go to our personal ship from there or we can just do missions from there right away. I feel like logging into our orbiters and being able to go straight into missions is just killing the social aspect of things. Also the lack of animations in relays and towns.

I'm a solo player, so not really no. Plus relays and other such instances are what you make of it.

Disabled, lol.

Hate to break it to you, but I personally am not going to bother with social-ingame whatevers. As far as I am concerned, whenever I am forced to pub a mission, said pubs are pretty much NPC's to me.

Not that I hate them, just that I have very little reason to socialize in Warframe, or want to. The Clan feature already has what you're proposing;

1) a specific relay where you can do missions from.
2) a socialised hub where you can hang out and chat, do trades, etc.

So all in all, I wouldnt be the kind of person that would be interested in further social gimmicks.

We havent beat the Corpus, Grineer and Infestation. What makes you think we will beat the Sentients?

Even if we do, there are still the 3 others.

Yeah but we're just mindlessly fighting them. There's no story and no end to it and there's no real point. Realistically it's obviously better to just to negotiate with them and make peace and come to an agreement or even join them to become their leaders and route out corruption and lead them down the righteous path.

But still I desire that more social aspect and that adventurous aspect where we go on a journey and that we're not just revisiting the same old places and doing the same thing over and over again without anything really changing. When they introduce new quests and etc, it seems like these changes appear off-screen. But I guess the longer you play a game the more of its flaws you can see.

That's only because the social aspect isn't interesting enough to get you interested. If you've played other games like maybe APB:Reloaded, PSO2, or maybe some rpgs, the social aspect is what helps the game keep its longevity before discord came along and sucked it all out.

Like for example, you might see someone talking about something super interesting that interests you and you might join in on the conversation and after much discussion you decide you want to tag along with this group of friends to help them out on a mission or to get a few things done yourself. That's the beauty of the social aspect.

Idek, I think clans are good enough for this purpose, but if DE sees fit to add what you suggest then hey, no harm done.

Still though, you underestimate just how disinterested I am in being social in-game haha.

That sounds horrible, due to people with hardware limitations. I myself have trouble going to relays/hubs when there's alot of people in one spot, since the game tries to display every players fashion and equipment, where they are, what they're doing and where they're going. Having potentially several hundred players in 1 spot sounds like alot of unessecary lag, which would probably make the game unplayable for many people.

If you want to socialize about Warframe, i suggest joining an active Warframe related Discord server or finding people you can socialize with. Region chat would also be an option, i think. I personally play the game to have fun, not to write an essay, but that may just be me. 😄

Yes, clans are great but now the socialization only remains within the clans and not anywhere else in the game.

But come on! You and @Kaotyke are such downers, even in-game and on the council chat.

It's a large spot and it can be optional too. Also, it can't be that bad right? I remember when Dojo Duels were fun cause hordes of your clannies can just jump in and gather around to watch their clannies duke it out but now we load into a separate instance which kinda sucks.

You must not see me when I actually join the chat with my Utzs.

You mean like the relays? We already have these social spaces and people don't really use them a lot. Forcing people to be there on log in would not improve the situation.

Nah. Nothing like Relays. If you ask me Relays are failures and cheap imitations of what PSO2 has going on.

I do. He had the greatest character development and still tops a lot of main protagonists. What makes him so great is that he isn't good or evil, just a human being that's standing up against the odds and rising above his hatred.

I have no idea who this Kirito person is, but he sounds like my kind of guy.

Maybe we'll never talk sometimes.

Kirito is a crappy protagonist. Probably the one who started this trend of cookie cutter MCs that we always see in new Isekai Anime.

Now Guts. Guts is great but someone who has never watched Berserk before would think he's a villain but he is actually ranked the highest as the best protagonist in anime.

Should have had Rebecca watch Berserk instead of JoJo.

That sounds exactly like something Kirito would say. Is that who you want to be?! O _O

Just because you think something is right, you shouldn't try to impose it onto other people using anime, or any kind, of references. Some people prefer the solo aspects of a game, others like to socialize, cooperate, coordinate, etc.

Myself, I prefer to be like the Stalker. If I found other players I would love to try and assassinate them. I really don't care about being in a place full of other players, as long as I can play the game in the ways I enjoy.

It was just a joke, relax.

You can still do what you want so long as other people get to do what they want too. This is something that's good for the game as a whole too. You can't always be thinking of yourselves.

He's harmless. Absolute softy.

There's too much anime in this thread.

I'm not against other people's, or yours idea. Well, it depends. But I am not particullarly against this idea. I just think that with your joke you are underestimating the value solo players find with their gamestyle. I know it is an online game and all that... and that sometimes there's a need of creating squads and socializing; but some people prefer to be constantly playing without having to write or talk about anything.
