This week on PC, Gauss shifts his kinetic Abilities into overdrive along with a convoy of new gameplay, customizations and rewards! Face some of the toughest enemies in the Origin System with six new Disruption Mode missions, let the Void consume you with the Harrow Reliquary Collection, show off your shredding skills with a playable Shawzin and more! 

SPRINT INTO ACTION AS GAUSS

High speed, low drag — Gauss is turbo-charged and ready for rapid engagement. Survive the new Disruption Mode expansion to build this supersonic Warframe.

PASSIVE
Never stop moving. Keeping Gauss in motion generates an electrical current that charges his Speed Gauge, helping Shields recharge up to 80% faster, and decreasing recharge delay up to 80%.

MACH RUSH
Burst into a hyper-sprint to bowl over enemies and charge the battery, or crash into solid objects to generate a powerful shockwave. Hold to rush continuously.

KINETIC PLATING
Generate armor plating that converts a portion of absorbed Kinetic Damage into Energy, and protects Gauss from being staggered or knocked down. Damage Resistance is relative to battery level.

THERMAL SUNDER
Siphon kinetic energy from the area, charging the battery and inflicting Cold Status on nearby enemies. Hold reverses the process, draining the battery and inflicting Heat Status on nearby enemies.

REDLINE
Push Gauss’ battery beyond the redline, supercharging his Abilities and setting Fire Rate, Attack Speed, Reload Speed, and Holster Rate into overdrive. When past the redline, bolts of arcing electricity dance periodically from Gauss, exploding en masse when the ability is deactivated.

DISRUPTION MODE EXPANSION

Alad V, ever the enterprising businessman, has sold his tech to anyone with Credits to spare. As a result, Disruption Missions are popping up all over the Origin System bringing new rewards for willing Tenno like valuable Kuva from the new Kuva Fortress Disruption Node.

New Missions/Tilesets

• More Disruption nodes are appearing in unexpected places, including the Corpus Outpost, Grineer Galleon, Grineer Settlement, Grineer Kuva Fortress, and Orokin Moon

New Challenges

• Grineer Enemies join the fray with a twist! Vay Hek’s grotesque collection of Ghouls take the place of Alad V’s Amalgams. Hold them off as they try to wrestle back control of the Terminals scattered around the mission.

New Rewards

• Earn Kuva in Kuva Fortress Disruption Missions or uncover the new Universal Syndicate Medallion, found in all Disruption nodes (except Mars) to gain 1,000 Standing with any of the core 6 Syndicates

Note: The Sacrifice Quest must be completed to unlock Disruption Mission Nodes for the Kuva Fortress and Lua.

TENNO REINFORCEMENTS

Feel the need for speed with these brand-new Weapons and Customizations.

ACCELTRA
Using a barrage of rapid-fire plasma rockets, Gauss’ signature weapon lays down a path of destruction. Reloads are faster while sprinting, even more so in Gauss’ hands. For safety, rockets arm after traveling safe distance.

AKARIUS
Bombard legions of enemies with target seeking rockets. These dual launchers reload faster while sprinting, even more so in Gauss’ hands. Rockets arm after reaching a safe distance.

THE GAUSS COLLECTION

A little more detail on what this is would be really nice, seeing as it finally seems like you're looking into making lore for frames without quests, since, you know, nightwave is more important than warframe quests.

So all in all, the update looks pretty decent, however I'll like to point out that the only items that are classed as "Content" are the following:

• Gauss/Weapons
•  Disruption Overhall
• Welcome To The Leverian

The rest of the items shipping are QOL changes/updates and a skin (dojo decors), the QOL and skins are a hotfix sized update and the latter is an "TENNO REINFORCEMENTS" update, just with a Warframe, rather then a single weapon or two. So I whuold like to understand why this is classed as a Mainline update when the rest seem half and half of what I just said.

 

Overall, I am looking forward to Gauss and Weapons and the Lervrian thing, but I can't help but be really in the lack of either Information or lack of content in this update, I will not hold my breath, but there is some speculations that the "Much More" quoted by Reb, is maybe Railjack stuff or something else, like the Drydock/Ship Rework.

 

 

I guess this is what a Mainline update is, to some people and my fear is that the definition of mainline is not what it seems.

Also, I'm intrigued by the video's quote "Thermal Sunder siphons kinetic energy from the area, charging the battery while emitting a radial COLD STATUS":

With the way the enemies were frozen in the trailer... does this mean the Cold proc is getting reworked? Into a full-on "freeze" effect, instead of a simple slowdown?

I have a question. With the Playable Shawzin, can you still play it even if you have it placed down in the ship? Or do you need it actively in your inventory/requiring a secondary Shawzin?

I'd assume it's only the emote itself, since you can't put the decoration in your gear wheel.

Am I the only one who feels like Gauss is a recycled Volt? Speed oriented, passive that charges while moving, Absorb ability. the AOE pictured looks pretty small too even with a 280% range build its probably going to fall short. Happy for the other new content though, thank you for the hard work DE.

Edit: also freeze sounds good on paper but frozen enemies are immune to status, and fires a mediocre crowd control unless fighting fully stripped targets.

Pls for gods sake let it be a toggle ability, making it a hold ability is way to impractical... 😕
