Although for me it was linked to my friend taking out the Dax shawzin while I was using the Nelumbo - which switched our instrument and chord w/o changing the model back, it would just change the sound. It's like the game can't handle having both active at once, because he didn't even own the Nelumbo but if he was in the emote while I took mine out his Dax would begin playing Nelumbo sounds.
