Excavator Level Scale?

That's in place to make it easy for new players and provide some incentive to not just wander off on higher levels. Their stats should definitely not scale with enemy level, and not with node base level either because by the point you reach Tier 3 excavations, you will have gotten enough equipment and powers to easily protect them.

Excavators doesn't have health regen and unscaled excavators forces a meta (Frost, Gara, and limbo) which eliminates playstyle diversity in the gamemode. Just make it scale based on starting mission level and leave it at that (like the excavators on Fortuna bounties)

Don't even think to fully defend an excavator in Arbitrations without one of those frames in the squad.

"a meta" is an order that the cunningless can not do without, and what cowards-unto-thought worship as truth.

You do realize that current excavators is so squishy that they can die in a few seconds in high level missions right? Which forces players to bring those frames if they want their excavators stay protected. OP is right here, make it scale so that we are not forced to the "meta" if we want to do a casual high level excavation run. I bet you bring one of those frames in Arbitrations.

You said you need all three: " forces a meta (Frost, Gara, and limbo) ". Just one is enough.

Why is this bad? Using the most suited frames for a given task seems to be a reasonable thing to me. Using other frames would be like using a screwdriver to drive a nail into a wall. Sure it could work with a lot of effort, but it just seems really dumb.

You can execute 5 successful excavations with unscaled excavators and sub-decent build. Considering you only need 4 to complete its AABC rotation... Well, I'll let you complete the rest.

Thinking that you need a "meta" which...

... To compensate for the lack of excavator scaling is both a noob idea, as it is equally stupid. You don't need "meta" for anything in Warframe, since its supposed to be a Co-op game. You don't even need "meta" for running content Solo unless you're specifically doing Tridolons. Considering how much content, both old and new, that Warframe has, you only need "meta" for Tridolons -alone-, running on Solo/Invite Only mode.

You either need to get better at excavations, or your team members need to get smarter and better than the AI... Or both.
