Honey_Glazed_Bearclaw
Passive: Stay Low. The warframe slowly gains a layer of extra armor while touching the ground up to a certain point. The armor regenerates a few seconds after damage is taken. If the warframe bullet jumps the extra armor is lost. First Ability: Specialist Ammunition. Change the elemental damage type of your current ranged weapon to a specific type using a selection wheel. The effect ends when the weapon is reloaded. Second Ability: Tactical Barricade. The Warframe throws down a destructible barricade similar to a Grineer Blunt. The barricade curves to cover three angles of attack and provides almost complete cover accept for a horizontal slit that can be fired through. Third Ability: Orbital Drop. Select another member of your squad to vanish from your current location and drop down next to your ally, causing a shockwave. Your drop pod immediately shatters, dispensing health, energy and ammunition. Fourth Ability: Reinforcements. Call in temporary specters from the faction who's emblem the warframe is currently displaying. How long the specters last is affected by your standing with said syndicate faction. If no syndicate emblem is displayed the specters spawn as relay citizens. Thoughts? Ideas? I particularly like the idea of being able to jump to another squad member's location since it would allow people to catch up after scanning cephalon fragments, picking up syndicate trophies, etc. Also sometimes you just get bogged down, lost or stuck and you don't want your squadmates to have to wait for the evac countdown timer to run out. The ability could also just be used as crowd control attack to get your ally out of a tough spot or to get to them quickly for a rez.

Tatann
Instead of an "orbital drop" which can seem weird on some tile sets (spaceships, caves, ...) can't it simply be a supply pylon/station ? It could give overshield (like osprey), ammo, heal, energy, etc... I've seen some in a few RPGs (Firefall, Mass Effect, Borderlands), I think it fits the theme

The primary attribute of the ability is the instant transportation of your warframe to your ally wherever they may be. Perhaps instead of 'Orbital Drop' it could be...'Void Recall' or something like that.

Ah Warhammer 40k. I was thinking more about marines from Starcraft or even Starship Troopers. Less a hulking behemoth of fury and more a cover-jumping grunt rushing to back up their mates in the thick of it.
Honey_Glazed_Bearclaw
Revisiting this topic with a quick note. Even a warframe with a mechanic that takes advantage of cover would be neat. Allowing the warframe to press itself against cover and lean around the corner to shoot with a bonus to accuracy or armor. That sort of thing.

Honey_Glazed_Bearclaw
Popping back onto this thread cause it occurred to me that Kahl is pretty much the space marine frame I've been dreaming about. I really like how he sticks around and becomes available for special missions and customization after you finish his introduction quest. Way to go DE. Way to go.
