Warframe Concept: Zesus

The core idea is a frame who manipulates two types of matter, Dark Matter and Light Matter. Light makes him a more mobile damage dealer while dark makes him more durable and CC focused. Colouring his energy with bright colours will make him start missions in Light Mode while colouring his energy with dark colours will make him start missions in Dark Mode.

Shield: 150 (450 at rank 30)
Armour: 300
Energy: 150 (225 at rank 30)
Sprint Speed: 1.2 (light mode), 0.9 (dark mode)
Polarities: 1 Madurai, 1 Vazarin
Exilus Polarity: None
Aura Polarity: Naramon

Passive Ability:

  • While in Light Mode, sprint speed is 1.2 and damage inflicted on enemies causes a burn DOT inflicting 10% (Damage Distribution: 50% heat, 50% radiation) of the damage which procced the effect every second for 3 seconds.
  • While in Dark Mode, sprint speed is 0.9 and every second while not taking damage, gain Dark Matter Armour equal to 20% of max shields.

Dark Matter Armour is like overshields in that it does not regenerate naturally and is rapidly stripped away by nullification effects. It has a cap equal to max shields.

1st Ability: Affinity Shift
Cost: 25
Zesus changes to between light and dark modes.

  • Upon entering Light Mode, gain 7.5%/15%/22.5%/30% movement and attack speed for 3/6/9/12 seconds. Any Dark Matter Armour on Zesus will released as a burst which knocks down enemies in a 10m radius.
  • Upon entering Dark Mode, gain Dark Matter Armour equal to 50% of maximum shields. 200 damage (Damage Distribution: 50% heat, 50% radiation) will be dealt to any enemies suffering from the DOT of light mode and the burn debuff will be removed.

Buffs from this ability end instantly if mode is changed before duration ends.

2nd Ability: Light Infusion/Dark Infusion
Cost: 50
Duration: 15/20/25/30 seconds
Zesus imbues his weapons with matter.

  • In Light Mode, weapons deal 7.5%/15%/22.5%/30% bonus damage (Damage Distribution: 50% heat, 50% radiation). Enemies killed will drop Light Matter which deals 5% of the enemy's max health as damage (Damage Distribution: 50% heat, 50% radiation) every second to enemies in a 5m radius.
  • In Dark Mode, weapons deal 5%/10%/15%/20% bonus damage (Damage Distribution: 100% impact) with 100% impact proc chance. Enemies killed will drop Dark Matter which applies a 20% slow to enemies in a 5m radius.

Light and dark matter disappear after 10 seconds. Effects of light and dark matter stack if enemies are in the AOE of multiple pieces of matter.

Augment: Shared Infusion
Allies within a 20m radius of Zesus gain the buff for the same duration but at 50% strength.

3rd Ability: Radiance/Dark Fortification
Cost: 25
Energy Drain: -3/s
Duration: Channelled
Zesus channels matter into his body.

  • In Light Mode, emit an aura of radiant light matter that deals 200/300/400/500 damage (Distribution: 50% heat, 50% radiation) per second to enemies within a 7.5/10/12.5/15 meter radius of Zesus. Enemies afflicted by the DOT of light mod and instances of Light Matter will spread the aura in a 5 meter radius.
  • In Dark Mode, dark matter armour can be generated while taking damage but at 10%/s (instead of the normal 20%/s while not taking damage) and 25%/50%/75/100% of armour is applied to dark matter armour. Dark Matter can be collected to grant 5% of the enemy's max health as Dark Matter Armour.

Augment: Allies Matter
In Light Mode, Radiance aura spreads to and from allies within a 15m radius.
In Dark Mode, Allies within a 15m radius also gain Dark Matter Armour when Zesus collects Dark Matter.

4th Ability: Light Burst/Dark Storm
Cost: 100
Range: 7.5m/10m/12.5m/15m radius
Zesus releases a burst of matter upon his enemies.

  • In Light Mode, deal 750/1000/1250/1500 damage (Distribution: 50% heat, 50% radiation). Light Matter in the radius will destabilise and explode, dealing 50% of the maximum health of the enemy it dropped from in a 10m radius. Enemies affected by Radiance take 100% bonus damage from Light Burst.
  • In Dark Mode, emit a storm of dark matter for 10 seconds which slows affected enemies by 50% and increases armour of Zesus and allies by 25%/30%/35%/40%. Dark Matter in the radius will destabilise, creating gravitic anomalies which last for 5 seconds and pins enemies in a 10m radius to the floor. If Dark Fortification is active, double the generation rate of Dark Matter Armour.

This is my first attempt at a fan concept. I might come up with ideas for a backstory and signature weapons just for fun. Comments and discussion would be highly appreciated.

I decided to discard the light/dark mechanic and focus on the light side to make a glass cannon caster.

Stats:
Health: 100 (300 at rank 30)

Passive Ability:
Damage inflicted on enemies add a burn DOT inflicting 10% (Damage Distribution: 50% heat, 50% radiation) of the damage which procced the effect every second for 6 seconds.

1st Ability: Radiant Bolt
Cost: 25 (35 if charged for 2s)
Zesus fires a piercing bolt of light matter from his gauntlet, dealing 150/200/250/300 damage (Damage Distribution: 50% heat, 50% radiation) to enemies in a line (2m wide, 30m long) with a 50% status chance. This ability can be charged for up to 2s, increasing the damage dealt, status chance, and hitbox linearly up to 100%. Shooting Light Matter will cause it to emit a blinding pulse, reducing its remaining duration by 5 seconds and blinding enemies in a 10m radius for 5 seconds.

The gauntlet can be modded as an exalted weapon, accepting secondary weapon mods. Only damage, multishot, and fire rate mods affect the ability.

2nd Ability: Light Infusion
Cost: 50
Duration: 15/20/25/30 seconds
Zesus infuses his enemies with burning light matter.

Release a wave of light in a 15m radius which deals 200/300/400/500 damage (Damage Distribution: 50% heat, 50% radiation). Enemies affected by Radiance will detonate the light matter on contact, inflicting 100/150/200/250 damage (Damage Distribution: 50% heat, 50% radiation) to enemies in a 5m radius. Enemies which die within 10s of being damaged will drop Light Matter which deals 10% of the enemy's max health as damage (Damage Distribution: 50% heat, 50% radiation) every second to enemies in a 5m radius.

Emit an aura of radiant light matter that deals 200/300/400/500 damage (Distribution: 50% heat, 50% radiation) per second to enemies within a 7.5/10/12.5/15 meter radius of Zesus. Instances of Light Matter in the radius will deal 100% bonus damage per second.

4th Ability: Light Burst
Cost: 100
Range: 7.5m/10m/12.5m/15m radius
Zesus releases a burst of matter upon his enemies.

Deal 400/600/800/1000 damage (Distribution: 50% heat, 50% radiation). Light Matter in the radius will destabilise and explode, dealing 30% of the maximum health of the enemy it dropped from in a 10m radius and blind affected enemies for 5 seconds. Enemies affected by Radiance take 100% bonus damage from Light Burst.
