When Doctor Sternberg discovered the A533-8 irregular object somehwere near Pluto, he didn't expect it to be anything special. Maybe an asteroid from a forgein part of the galaxy, or a malformed grineer ship wreck.

But... it wasn't.

Upon arrival with his crew, instead of a piece of trash orbitting in space, they found an odd, metalic sphere, impossibly perfect in its curves. They sent an intern to go touch it, and to their surprise, he got sucked in.

Their next move?
Sending the best of the best to go touch the sphere, of course, and see what happens.

Hello, and welcome to TWoB, a fantasy themed RP with Warframe characters and a D20 rolling system!

Have you ever wondered what will happen if you take a bunch of Tenno, and chuck them in a fantasy universe? Well, you're about to find out.

You will be transported to an alternate dimension, with no prior knowledge of it. Everything will be different - your weapons won't work, your frames won't function, and in order to attack, you'll have to roll the dice. Characters can die premanently due to bad luck and fatal mistakes.

________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

Combat system

The combat system is rather simple. You roll a D20 dice using a discord bot. Roll above the enemy's armor score? Great, you hit! Roll below? You miss.
Rolling a 20 will double your damage, and rolling a 1 will damage you.
There are 3 categories of weapons :

  • Large weapons: 4 damage, 1 attack per turn.
  • Small weapons: 2 damage, 2 attacks per turn. Can attack diffrent enemies.
  • Ranged weapons: 3 damage, can attack without getting close to the enemy, putting you in much less danger.
  • Fists can also be used: 1 damage, 2 attack per turn, can attack diffrent enemies.

Rules

  • If you die, you can submit an application for another character.
  • Dying means dying. No revives.
  • This is pre u18 cannon. Tenno are inside the warframe.
  • Game mechanics =\= RP mechanics. (Ex. Hide weapon when holstered isn't cannon.)
  • Abseloutly no meta gaming
  • During a battle, you only get 1 attack per post. You need to wait at least 2 posts before attacking again. This is to make battles a little harder.
  • No re-rolling.

Will this one reach 10 pages?

Oof

Problem with the last one was a lack of consistent participation.  A bunch of the participants posted a couple of posts and then disappeared, while a couple others contacted me privately and let me know that they quit for their own reasons.

I also admit I wasn't 100% able to keep up with posts at the time - but now I am.

The first one reached 80+ pages - this one can as well, hopefully.

Name: Tiger Sorn
Race: Ostron
Age: 22
Gender: Female

Personality: Good-natured, adventurous and carefree - but somewhat reserved in unfamiliar social settings. She is also a rather emotional person which can get the better of her at times.

Weapon: Sorn's name comes from her signature weapon she received from a Tenno she assisted out in the plains as a teenager - the Tigris. Having lost her munitions pouch and with her gun mysteriously unable to fire however, she has expertly resorted to using its solid wooden stock and the sharp blades along the top and front of the shotgun as a Heavy two-handed melee weapon.

Bio: An Ostron from a small family of hunters in Cetus, known for their archery. Aside from hunting animals and vermin, Sorn also joined her senior family members in shooting Grineer for sport, being as adept with the bow as her father. Her interest in adventure was ignited when a Tenno friend she made told her about her missions and travels across the stars. With the blessing of her family, she adopted the name Tiger Sorn and left Cetus to seek her fortune elsewhere, regularly sending letters and gifts home to her family. Despite her finesse with the bow and arrow, the Tigris quickly proved to be her weapon of choice. She uses both barrels in methodical and precise two-step takedowns, all the while wearing a pleasant smile.

Appearance: Standing at about 175cm, Sorn has mildly dark skin and youthful features, a lithe athletic frame and wavy chestnut hair that is typically pulled back into a short ponytail. Her attire consists of the bandage-like wraps commonly worn by the women of Cetus, dyed in dark brown. This is worn under a lighter-coloured manteau.

Great! We have our first accepted applicant.

Name: Zibù
Race: Tenno Specter
Age: Indefinite, predates Tenno awakening.
Gender: No

Personality

Sadistic, primitive and savage, Zibù's personality is the incarnation of everything his creator, Tyrund ever stood for, but he can still be naive, confused and imprecise at times.

Weapon:

Zibù instrument of command is a bone coloured Silva Prime mace, only weapon he constantly keeps on his person since coming into existence.

Bio:

A Specter. a shadow of it's creator, that's what Zibù was, just an extension of the living legend known as Tyrund, an Oberon paladin whose wisdom was only comparable to it's sheer might.

But everything changed when Tyrund... simply left, leaving it's Specter to silently stumble around the ancient forest-jungles of Earth, and so years, decades would pass and in all these years the Specter only saw suffering, blood and pain until one faithful day it would stumble upon an ancient orokin underground vault in the middle of the jungle.

It's unclear what had happened there, but the Specter came out of the vault changed, it's body now completely phasing in and out of existence due to the sheer exposure of void radiation, now brandishing a mace with the colour of bones and simply calling himself "Zibù". It was there he took his oath as a paladin, but it wasn't an oath to law, order or light... it was in fact an oath of conquest, his new quest as a paladin to completely douse the flame of hope, rule the conquered with an iron fist and most of all, abiding to the rule of the jungle, where the strong rule, and the weak perish.

Name: Gek Ar'sak

Race: Grineer

Personallity: Gek is not so much outright hostile towards other races than he is disgruntled and annoyed by them, Tenno most of all. He is aware of how imperfect his cloned body is, and begrudges his birth, wishing to surpass his physical limits through pushing his body to its limit before eventually falling back on cybernetics to edge a little bit more out, live a little bit longer. The comparatively advanced technology of other races makes him uncomfortable, refusing to use weapons, armour and cybernetics not Grineer in origin - for now. Gek does not possess complete and utter loyalty to the Queens, though typically follows their orders, if accompanied by remarks about their 'nagging'.

Weapon (I'll need to approve your weapon and choose a category. Choose one without a special effect): Gek wields his Atterax, using the end to bludgeon rather than flay due to the technology not working.

Bio: Gek was made like other Grineer, a degenerate clone created by Orokin technology. A birth defect made him capable of defying the Queens, but hid this to keep his place in society. His role was an executioner, and having seen what fate befell dissenters, was not keen to follow that road. A guard mission gone horribly awry lead to Gek losing his left arm; the ship had become the target of the Tenno, and the Grineer warrior had barely managed to stay alive, through some miracle being spared the swift and callous wrath of the attacker. The sight and sensation of seeing the Warframe almost effortlessly cut through his kindred sparked jealousy towards Tennokind, at their power and ease with which they wield it. The Grineer's skill with his Atterax, and his close encounter with a Tenno earned him a moderate level of respect, enough to be sent away to do some mysterious sphere thing in space.

Appearance: Gek has the trademark decaying look of a Grineer a couple of decades old, his greyish skin wrinkled and blemished with liver spots. Compared to other Grineer his age, he has relatively little cybernetics, only taking them when necessary. His left arm has been replaced with a robotic one, having lost the organic one, and it constantly hangs limp at his side due to the lack of working technology in the world.

Name: Unknown, goes by Jacked Frost (Jack for short.)

Race: Tenno (Frost)

Personallity: Jack's personality can be summed up as strong, confident and rippling. He views the world through a needlessly rigid dichotomy, separating all things into two categories: conducive to being extremely muscular... and not. This causes him to maintain very little interest in anything that either does not contribute to the pursuit of spreading muscular glory throughout the known universe, or cannot itself become an emissary of the Holy Truth. For this reason, others may view him as idiotic, or slow, while he's actually quite clever, if only a bit... flawed in what he devotes his mind to. Furthermore, while his understanding of human psychology is far from adequate, he holds a kind heart, and always tries to make some token attempt to help if others are struggling, to often disastrous effect.

Warframe, if Tenno: Frost

Weapon: Jack has no need for any weapon except his massive arms, which he's titled King and Emperor, though the reasoning for this is unclear.

Bio: Jack has always been the runt of the pack. The shrimp. The weakling. It wasn't his fault that he'd historically been physically pathetic. Short, rotund, and incredibly weak, he had always found himself the butt of a variety of jokes as a child, ostracised and mocked by his peers until he couldn't take anymore. He would make something of himself. He would prove them all wrong. He would become a legend in Orokin society! Two years later, at the age of 14, the Zariman 10-0 would give him his wish in an incredibly unorthodox way, converting him into one of the demonic children known as the Tenno. He watched how the others stared at him in awe. They looked at him with fear, and with respect. It was absolutely intoxicating.

When he awoke from cryosleep, he expected to exit into a world where he would still be top dog, clad in his custom-made Frost, built so that it could accommodate his... warped stature, only to find himself the butt of so many jokes once again, referred to as the odd duck among Tenno, reduced to the same bullied child that had boarded the ship so many years ago. That detail broke something within him. Once more, he would force them to take him seriously. He would force them to accept him as the legend he was always meant to be! He would own their mockery, and he would craft with it a horrific visage that he could call his own.

...However, the exact reasoning behind his decisions would get lost somewhere between the hundred and fourteenth and hundred and fifteenth surgeries, having slowly been eroded by the endless nights of isolation and relentless use of anesthetics in order to undertake surgeries. His goal of obtaining a stature that others would revere had become distorted into a near-religious fervor with which he would seek muscles in all shapes and forms, and his new face, the mark of a new age in human evolution. He had even forgotten his name at some point, choosing to instead adopt the epithet "Jacked Frost" from the shocked whisperings of some colonists.

Now, he spends his days sculpting his Frost into literal perfection, and trying to open the eyes of others to the ideals he believes to be absolute, with transportation to another world simply representing a chance to spread his views to lands even further beyond.

Appearence: Jack's Frost is the average, every day Frost warframe, except for all the ways it isn't. For one, his warframe has several inches on the average Frost, standing at an easy 7 feet, with bulging, harder than rock muscles that could, according to him, dwarf three trucks. Furthermore, the coat is left open at the front to display a prominent six-pack of artificial muscles beneath, to complete the look. The entire warframe is painted white, barring the custom helmet that he's created as a caricature of his own altered appearance, and the bottoms of the coat, which have been colored a royal purple to match the similarly colored headpiece.

(I'm not sorry.)

Under the suit lies Jack's even further warped appearance, molded into an even more mocking version of how the other kids had always described him as a child. Four feet tall, for how they mocked his height. Paper white, in response to how they had called him pasty, and like he hadn't seen the sun in months. Beady, black eyes, as they had always said that his eyes were hidden by the sheer fat on his face. Finally, wearing that same, stupid hat as when he had been a kid, as it would be cowardly to not own all of what they had made fun of, when he had gone so far as to become a surgically deformed abomination.

(I'm still not sorry.)

Name: Tyr

Race: Tenno

Age: 32 (Apparent age); Unknown (Absolute Age)

Personality: At first glance, Tyr is a quiet giant. He often speaks very few words and usually does minimal to draw attention to himself, often replying with grunts or single word answers. Crack open his shell however, and you find a much more talkative and loud person. A friend to Tyr will never be alone in times of need thanks to his intense loyalty to those he deems friends.

Warframe, if Tenno: Atlas

Weapon: Gram Prime, (Heavy)

Bio: As a child Tyr was the one that all the younger kids looked up to. He was the friend of everyone. The adults always called him too innocent and pure for the corrupted world they lived in. Then the Ten-zero incident happened. The void changed more than his body. He became quiet and more secluded. He rarely talked like he used to and frequently would give the cold shoulder to those he once were friends with. After watching friend after friend be cut down by numerous different factions, he fully shut off from the world. He rarely spoke to the Lotus outside of mission briefings and even less so to the teammates he joined with.

Appearance: Outside of his Gram, Tyr considers his body his greatest weapon. He stands at a frightening 6’ 10” on his own, and inside his Atlas he jumps to a massive 7’ 3”. He arms are considered possibly more destructive than his Gram due to the sheer speed at which he can swing the massive tree trunks. Due to his constant weight lifting (often resorting to benching his Rumblers when he doesn’t have adequate equipment) and strict diet, his body is a mass of muscles with numerous scars and bruises from older fights he got into. The largest one being a slash down the center of his torso where the Stalker nearly split him in two. Tyr’s head is framed with a neatly groomed beard/mutton chops combo of Red hair. His sharp eagle-like eyes are hazel. Tyr’s Atlas is a massive Warframe coated in faded Gunmetal Grey paint that has long since lost its luster. The various dangle-y bits have been painted shades of soft Blues. Small specks of chrome line the Warframe as well to finish off the decorative stuff. The Helmet has also been replaced with a Shikoro Helmet sporting the same colors.
