Reinforced crate data

Recommended Posts

Posted (edited)

Is there any specific reason why there's no official data regarding Reinforced/Rare/Forgotten crates? Most people know that the spawn rate is really low, but there are many questions which the community has been trying to answer for a while but because of it's rarity it's nearly impossible to be certain about it, here's a few of them:

  •   Does the crate have a chance to randomly spawn in any mission which could have a syndicate medallion or does it have a chance to replace crates on the map? if it's the first option looking for them in small tiles would be ideal, while in the second case it's better to go for a big tile for more random crate spawns

  •   What's the spawn rate for forgotten/rare/reinforced crates?

  •   Do syndicate missions/alerts/nightmare/quests have a higher chance to spawn them than normal missions?

  •   A few people have mentioned getting the crate in the ayatan treasure rooms, is this just a coincidence because it has a high density of crates and valuable spots or do those rooms really have a higher chance of spawning crates?

Keep in mind that many of these questions have been answered on the wiki, but there are no percentages and the information is just based on other players experience, which could be extremely biased and innacurate, as an example syndicate missions having a higher chance to spawn crates could be false and the only reason this is taken as true is because most players are actively looking for medallions in those missions and end up accidentally finding those crates

They can spawn in any position designated as a place that a syndicate medallion, ayatan sculpture or sabotage cache can spawn.

Not certain but it's about 2%

No they are simply found in them more often because we tend to search those levels more. In actual fact they have less spawn chance as there are less spawn positions available with the medallions there.

Coincidence, again it's cos they happen upon those rooms more. I find most of mine by accident when lim-bombing levels for argon crystals, medallions, ayatan stars etc.

It is a low % and can be anywhere you can find medallions, Ayatans or sabotage crates.

During Raids one was almost guaranteed in LOR.

Trials in general. NM LoR, LoR, and JV all had reliable spawns. In the same token though, there was also a reliable amount of sculptures.

OP: This is a really neat request and it's one of a few "what actual chance is X" questions about the game. I'm interested to see if we ever get data on these things. One of my own questions of a similar nature is what is the chance of a specific mode being chosen for Arbitrations/Fissures (because I see an awful lot of Defense and a whole lot of nothing for Infested Salvage). That's another thread for another day though haha.

Been playing a long time... Never found an reinforced orokin container. Its the only thing not scanned in my codex. The completionist in me cries everytime, the Warframe vet in me can't be bothered anymore.

I have found one on a derelict Orokin ship - two on Grineer tileset and two on Corpus tileset in the last two weeks.

How can you be sure about this? Also some of this information contradicts what's written on the wiki "In any given mission, there is a low chance of a single Rare Storage Container and a lower chance of a single Reinforced Storage Container spawning somewhere in the map. If one spawns, it will randomly select a vacant high-value hotspot, similar to that of a Syndicate Medallion, and spawn in it.", because you said having less spawn positions would decrease the spawn chance, while the wiki says the spawn is decided at the beginning of the mission and the amount of spawns doesn't matter but it also says that "These are based on opinions and may not be true. These should be viewed as advice unless proven undoubtedly true. Check comments for confirmation. Results may vary." so if you have any confirmation about it i'd like to see your sources

I'm aware it's a low %, as stated in the initial post, but the exact percentage isn't public yet

Unfortunately i didn't get to play LOR, but it didn't have reinforced orokins which is the rarest crate from what i've heard from other players, but again, it could be biased

Thank you, would be great to hear confirmation from DE about those chances, many of the drops rates are already public and i don't see a reason for crates (as you mentioned arbitration rotations too) to be different

Same story for me, been playing for a long time and haven't seen a single reinforced orokin container

Gratz, that's really lucky, were you actively looking for them?

OP I say about 2% because that's the legendary drop rate percentage in this game and since I know how lazy DE are, I'm willing to bet they haven't bothered setting up a separate percentage for such things.

Couldn't be more wrong. Check my post history lol, bored veteran is much more accurate. But they're lazy as and the idea that they would actually bother to add anything they don't  need to is just preposterous.

There are plenty of bored veterans that don't hurl childish insults at people(or devs).  That's you.

Yawn... Wasn't aware that criticism is now considered an insult. Don't you have some whiteknighting to do in some of these other threads? A DE member will be dispatched to give you a special reward very soon.

Unlike you I actually provided some feedback in this thread, you contributed by opening your beak and letting hot air escape. Take care now.

Edit: By the way you realise you just named me as one of the bored veterans that DOESN'T hurl insults right? Nice sentence work there.

Calling someone lazy is not criticism, it is an insult.  If you had any work experience you might know the difference.

It really isn't. Nice assumption of me, that's twice now you couldn't be more wrong.

I'm not sure if it's me, but I feel that Rare/Reinforced Orokin Containers have a much rarer chance to spawn than either Grineer or Corpus Rare/Reinforced Containers, respectively.

It may always be the work of RNG since it took me two years to get my first Reinforced Orokin Container to spawn (in a Sortie too).

This may sound ridiculous, but I always rescan Rare/Reinforced Containers for fun. Since there is a "Mission Completed" stats, that could give a rough percentage. But do note that some mission variants (Defense, Interception, Archwing, etc.) will not have any Rare/Reinforced Containers. Some are also from Trials (or Raids as well).
