DukeCatfishJr
I have a question regarding the formula used to calculate amount of void damage dealt to shields of an Eidolon: why does it have to be so complicated? what is the reasoning behind 25 times damage reduction and 2 times multiplier to crit? why couldn't you just take theoretical damage as is and just increase the amount of Eidolon shields correspondingly? the way that damage translates to Eidolons from numbers listed in an amp stats is rather confusing for even more experienced players. to add to this, why so many calculations and formulas are overly complicated and completely unobvious? most of the times that's just extra work for processors to do. taiiat
there's definitely parts of the game that stuff is mathematically more complicated than has benefit for, yeah. though your Processor doesn't care, all of that is still just Arithmetic, the exact stuff that Computers are fundamentally built on. they are the best at that, and so they do it crazy fast. calculating objects or Booleans in a 3 Dimensional space is the expensive stuff, in terms of 'Damage' type calculations. that's where you have to do Floating Point Division and other much slower math.
