Problems with Custom Obstacle Courses and probably decoration in general

It has been a while and these problem are still present.
So one of the biggest problems and the one that has been there for a long time now is that if you flip a platform on its head for example, if you let go of your RMB, it will randomly rotate either to the left or the right, which messes up so much and makes placing that extremely frustrating.
In addition to that there are quite a few more problems:

  • The red grids still have a smaller detection area or hitbox than the actual visuals.

So apparently the hitbox of the grids do scale with the size of it, but since the actual hitbox seems smaller than the mesh of the grid, the hitbox scales relative to the size of the object.
That technically means if the hitbox was 1 pixel smaller at first, if the size increases by 10, the hitbox is then 10 pixels smaller than the actual mesh, which allows you to pass through the edges of a red grid while you should actually get reset.

  • The lasers ignoring any kind of object.

This has been a problem for quite a while now and has destroyed several obstacle courses.
When placing lasers, they will just go through every object (except players), which means you can't place them behind a wall to block them with said wall.

  • Visuals not updating when moving a newly set object.

When you spawn in a new object and place it, it does as you want (except when you flip it of course), but if you then try to move it again, it will not move visually, but the object actually moves, just not the mesh apparently. If you do move it and set it down, nothing looks different, but trying to pick the object back up updates your visuals and only then can you move it as usual. It makes creating a course extremely frustrating and should probably get fixed already.

  • Red tiles do not kill you for about 40% of their size from the edge.

As I just wrote, it seems like the red tiles don't kill/reset you when you touch them in any way at least 30-40% towards the center from the edges, including the sides. And it seems to have the same properties as the red grids. The bigger it is, the bigger the area is that won't reset you, scaling with the size of the actual object.

As far as I know, these are some of the greatest problems when building a course. There are probably a few more and I might add them, but it would be nice if we got fixes for that.

Thanks for reading.
