How About Some Presets?

Ive been playing for a while now and have been at it through good and bad days, yet lately i cant seem to get back into it, and i know why...

Even though burnouts happen, if you enjoy the game, find something that keeps you busy and it'll be fine.

For me that was : creating a theme for each of my frames and give them specific weapons and mods to specialise them for each aspect of the game, having mods shared between frames and weapons made this a lot easier for me (even though its still wonky as hell) , but the UI update and overall messiness made this 10x worse.

So heres the thing... why not keep your suit selection as a template for your equipment.. and maybe even have a secondary loadable template that you can pre-set in case u rly want to level certain weapons.

The way it is now :

You select a suit and your weapons stay, you have to painstakingly change each of your weapons with that roundabout dropdown selection thingy, even though you switched from your ember to a frost cause you need ice orb to defend the pod and that sniper you have lying about benefits you more then that spammy low accuracy weapon you have now.

The way i described :

Oh i want to play defense, switch to frost or whatever the hell you want, pre-equipped with whatever you installed on it last time cause these weapons benefit the suit and its current mission.

but.... how?

1) Either keep items saved per suit, i know its possible, and its probably not difficult to do either.

2) In case im missing something and this is cannot be done due to previously existing code barriers, implement a loadout button somewhere that doest he same as your A B and C setups with the mods

3) This would work on low and high lvl play, a low level player has few suits and few weapons so he doesnt need to change much to begin with, if he gets a new suit, he can still distribute weapons to it and it gets saved.

4) In the long run people have their setups saved and they dont need to change out weapons every 2 frikking rounds and they can just switch and play.... less downtime, more fun, and switching suits makes it less boring throughout the game....

5) I can finally color-theme my entire collection and i dont look like a mismatched parrot every time i switch frames....

I rly do hope it gets implemented... since this would completely revitalise the game for me and i dont want to give up on it yet...

cheers

PS : i took out the remove the abc mod layout thing cause it seems a lot of people like this feature, and its not the main reason i posted this, so there it be gone *poof* my main suggestion still stands

The current system is pretty simple and easy to understand and navigate in my opinion. I dont think it needs to be changed and in fact I already used all my loadout slots making some weird arse builds using a bunch of so called 'worthless mods' and got some pretty cool stuff.

But some people learn stuff at different paces so I cant really speak for everyone and their opinions.

I don't think I would like that. What if I just wanted to use a different frame, same weapons? also the abc mod setups are great for different factions, and for melee you can switch between charge/ regular melee loadouts with a click of a button.

If you want a different frame same weapons then change the weapons,

if you always use the same 3 weapons they will be saved for each of your frames, hence you only have to do it once every so often,

if you switch between weapons and frames then you have the do the same you do now so no difference.

Any way you choose, the presets come out on top...

As i mentioned before ABC is just to accomodate the faction specific mods, which tbh once all three have been found and maxed might as well morph into a + dmg mod against all factions, unless ofc you find it a good idea to have 3 mod layouts that all only differ 1 mod...

If you're that far in the game that charge / regular mod builds matter, you're far enough to pick a weapon that suits each style better, instead of only changing mods...

plus im not against leaving it, but seeing how that is implemented and my suggestion is not, i find it trivial.

Im not asking to change anything, just keep weapons loadouts saved per suit, or atleast have something similar to mod layout presets i can click when i choose a new suit, maybe even a lock loadout button... the options are endless

Well, what if on one warframe i equip a new primary and new secondary to level, and do a mission, only to realize I wanted to try them on a different warframe instead? Okay, I equip the other warframe and now I have to go back and re-equip my weapons. Repeat the re-equip each time I change frames.

What would be nice from this are small weapon load out buttons on the side that allow you to set different weapon combo loadouts. [AUTO] defaults to whatever you have equipped, and then it goes abcdef... each being a weapon combo you already set up, with auto reverting back to your previously used weapons and sentinels

just leaving auto keeps it how it is now, while giving the option to implement load outs.

You can already keep loadouts in weapons and make changing to be mission ready >4 choices

frame

main

secondary

melee

boom.

How much easier do they really need to make it?

If i select my rhino, i want it equipped with the weapons and colour scheme if selected for it, ive chosen that layout cause i play that suit a certain way, and the weapons envelop my close medium and long range needs depending on the frame and mission im playing, considering i play a lot of different thing i dont want to switch suit and switch main and switch secondaey and switch melee and switch sentinel and switch items and then maybe switch the sentinel weapon.... i just want to switch and go... everything fitting nicely in a preset pack i set up, further immersing me in the atmosphere of put on suit, take specialised gear be a motha@(*()$ space ninja!

it fits... dont be so afraid of a little change

It's not that I'm afraid of a little change...

1.) you can have your colors pre-selected; you can even have multiple preset colors

2.) My problem with your statement is how you make it seem like a big deal to choose 3 or 4 options. Not but a month or two ago you have to totally remove all of the mods from everything every time you switched, which could take 5-10 min per change each time... now it's like 20-30 seconds tops if you have your stuff pre-built.

Anyone in the least bit knowledgeable about programming knows that user friendly interfaces are just what the doctor ordered, the suggestion i made would take a sliver of effort... im talking about a whiff, yet you hoot on about how much better it is then before... the interface is muddled with options that can be streamlined with little to no effort.. I like sets... i like things to.... fit.... having to repeat a dull action 25 billion things a game session is annoying and should be taken out hence my post... if ud taken the time to read, i was suggesting such a streamline option.. not qqing about how it is implemented now.

Goes to show a ftp community is worth crap... ill keep my post count to what it is.... gl hf bbye
