[SPOILERS] [TNW] How would you defend earth from the sentients.

I would like to remind you that half of all warframes command enough power to slit planets asunder and deorbit moons we can and will kill them.

Your fanfic is amusing but inaccurate.

Hunhow has a moniker that literally translates to “world destroyer”.

He willingly sacrificed himself for Natah to perform her system-wide surgical killstroke.

Still Hunhow lives without a body.  The Kaiju-sized Eidelon’s remains live on without a cohesive mind.

Limbo killed himself, Mirage went insane and still died, and Gara only won because of a super-bomb MaGuffin.

Nothing in the lore or gameplay supports your statements about that level of power.

STOPITU...😆

a literal Void nuke? the bomb has been used in the game before and explodes in their own personal kryptonite the same energy source that we use to power our frames we the tenno are conduits of Void energy.   as far as the planet rending one of the most benine frame is a WALKING NUCLEAR MELTDOWN.  nova controls and warps space time (see her 3) shoots a basket ball sized globe of anti matter, rhino stomps on the ground with enough force to slow down time, limbo has a private pocket dimention, frost can chill things to absolute 0, inaros returned mars into a desert hell scape...

Inaros doing that to a town/area where the Grineer invaded is not the whole of Mars and none of the others, even Nova, has power (gameplay or otherwise) that extends beyond a localized radius.  Rhino isn’t splitting a planet in half and stopping it’s rotation with a stomp.

Void nukes ARE the game’s Doomsday MaGuffin for use against planet-destroyer-class Sentients, and “Mother” absorbs entire Warships as a snack, so she is seemingly even Bigger?

No, raw Tenno power won’t win the day.  Not even close.

This is setting up for a “Deathstar” scenario and we need help.

hmm wonder what would be the best option to take out a sentient planet destroyer then,if us alone is not enough...maybe having the grineer or corpus to help,if so which do you think is a more capable ally in the new war?

Grineer, they have bigger numbers and don't use high-tech weapons. Orokin had to use primitive weapons like bows and swords because sentients would adapt & use their more advanced weapons against them.

Grineer tech: Literally required to truly defeat an eidolon. Tenno wouldn't even be able to actually fight these things for real without Grineer involuntarily helping them.

Corpus tech: Gets overtaken and stolen by Sentient, Alad V is a hostage to a single sentient unit, unable to fight them with all of his forces.

I think the choice is clear, lol

also Alad V is a guy that i dont really trust, and given how the corpus have messed with sentient tech, namely orb mothers,it is safer to go with grineer, though this can get the corpus to side with the sentients, either willingly or unwillingly. Main issue is grineer cloning facilities will prob be a big target for the sentients...

Clarification. We only need the lures if we want to capture them. We can kill Eidolons all night, we're just greedy.

We can kill their bodies, only a capture actually defeats them as it removes the semi-immortal soul of the sentient. It's like with kuva liches, you can kill them over and over, but only the more involved method gets rid of them forever.

Without Grineer tech, we'd be helpless to truly exorcise the eidolons.

I must ask, have you read any of Gara's lore? The Unum explicitly couldn't defend itself from the original Eidolon Sentient without Gara there. Letting the Sentients get any kind of hold on Earth is ensuring the destruction of the Sol system since they would once again have the ability to replicate and make more Sentients.

I have, and it's capable of defending itself due to the fields emitted from the tower itself to shut down weaponry.  I understand that it can't win a battle, but I do understand it is a effective EMP, thus titling itself as Self-defending.  As a Orokin tower, it also likely possesses internal defenses as well as most if not all Orokin structures seem to do with the Nueral Sentry, or in this case, the Unum.  You can see some of this when Eidolon had to retreat each new dawn.  Given this factor, I wager it can buy itself time that I don't need a immediate garrison of a force specialized in mobility, stealth, and shock and awe strategy.  If it is possible to recruit non-grineer mercenaries, Corpus proxies, and whatnot, then I would establish a light garrison with a reactionary force nearby.  That reactionary force of Tenno though must be deployed in the very actions that would deny the Unum to the Sentients.

You need a grand picture of things.  There are not enough tenno to station everywhere, so my strategy of attrition relies on using mobility and Tenno power to be reactionary, responding to threats as and when they appear.  Space Warfare does not lend itself to Static defense, and while you can have that, the issue of using a small army like the Tenno is any and all Garrisons must by demand of necessity be small and mobile.  Four Tenno can accomplish a mission, but I'd need at least 30 to heavily garrison for battle.  This is not good for us, as it allows too many of our specialists to be in place.  However using a Railjack fleet formation, I can transport teams in stealth capable ships around to deploy as needed.  So Yes, the Unum in my mind's eye possesses enough active defenses to buy itself time for me to insert a number of Railjack Tenno landing parties in the event it is targeted. More so, the Sentients are unlikely to be able to attack the Unum on initially landing, buying yet more time.  I would have many, many Railjack strike groups throughout the system bearing teams of Tenno with the various corpus and grineer fleets, including the Grineer fleet stationed above Earth.  The Unum will be safer then you think.

Isn't it kinda obvious?!

You bring your sentient slaying Umbra and Paracesis and reck them! Umbra howl resets there damage resistance and Paracesis when maxed has +60% damage to sentients. And then slap your Umbral mods on it and you have even more plus damage to sentients. And Paracesis also resets the damage resistance when maxed. That's why Paracesis + Umbra is the Sentient slayer. They were literally meant for this fight.

You have a Full Resistance made up of Paracesis welding Excal Umbras. Combined with maybe a good Rubico prime or other high damage weapon and some strategic use of Radial howl on the part of the Tenno and they'll be gone. So get to work making your Umbra, Umbra exalted blade, and Paracesis better to be prepared for this situation. 😉

For maximum chance of destroying the sentients, your Umbra Fashion must be On Point. Umbra with Umbra Armor Bundle, Dax Syandana, Paracesis, Umbra Armor on Kubrow/Kavat, and Umbra clothes on Operator.

No, the Eidolon retreating at dawn has nothing to do with the Unum, that was an innate limitation it had. Any we already know they can take Orokin defenses since the PoE sentient had already destroyed the other towers there, the Unum being the last tower remaining. Along side the general fact that most Orokin technologies weren't doing jack S#&$ in the first place. The only reason the Sentients didn't take Earth is because Gara stayed behind to defend it. We also know that Sentients can be immune to the neural sentry, given that they were working just as normal during the Octavia Anthem when Hunhow bought them into one.

Just add some cool cosmetic rewards for destroying the senteint boss and all Tenno will just make Op builds and kill him over and over again

Eidolon retreated at the rise of the sun prior to his destruction.

I'm not sure what your thing to say? The Lore states that the Sentients strength waned in daylight so it would attack during the night and retreat during the day. It repeated this until it found out that the Temple Kuva could restore it's ability to replicate and made one big final attack, where Gara sacrificed herself to take it down.
