Aspari Posted September 27, 2013 Posted September 27, 2013 I think they're causing performance issues because whenever my camera is facing the general direction where the vines are placed my frame rate takes a huge dive. And after a while my client will decide to shut down as well. I don't know if this is a bug or a lack of graphical optimization for the Derelict tile set but they're the main source of performance issues in my belief.
PsychedelicSnake Posted September 27, 2013 Posted September 27, 2013 Not only the Vines, but in addition it also seems to be the sheer amount of things on-screen.
Riccoshot Posted September 27, 2013 Posted September 27, 2013 Same here, run at steady frame rate and then suddenly it drops to 25FPS. Generally, there's few places like this - one 'secret' room with lockers, tunnel with vines all around and a small room with a fallen floor in the middle (there's a pit with vines)
Lady_Khaos Posted September 27, 2013 Posted September 27, 2013 I have no issues. Try activating Multi-Threading if you haven't already. I run on a relatively old laptop, by the way.
Centias Posted September 27, 2013 Posted September 27, 2013 This is a very serious issue for both me, and my friend. One of the rooms that has large beams of electricity and an elevator off to one side has a hidden tunnel to an extra room, and that room has caused my display driver to fail and crash the game twice.
Aspari Posted October 1, 2013 Author Posted October 1, 2013 Just a friendly reminder that Derelict's vines are still causing hardware failure errors.
