Stamina adds nothing positive to the gameplay. It makes movement frustrating, makes blocking and rolling useless, and just serves to slow down the overall pace of the game. A game about space ninjas should not have a mechanic to slow gameplay down, it should be fast and frantic. Stamina has no reason to exist, so get rid of it.

To reiterate what I said earlier (on this very page in fact),

It isn't stamina that makes blocking useless, it is the fact that it reduces 50% damage and does not negate any special effects like knockdown, or even stagger.

Rolling has no invulnerability frames as well, it instead has damage reduction equal to blocking, and does not negate any special effects either.

Stamina or not, the mechanics currently using it, with the exception of stamina, just don't work.

Stamina should stay, but DE should look at what they want from it, specifically, not in the vague terms they've used so far. "For it to be relevant" isn't good enough, relevant /= fun or engaging.

Here's my thoughts:

-Running doesn't drain stamina, or at least not as much. Moving swiftly is a big part of this game, we do it 90% of the time, maybe more and have developed movement techniques to avoid the stamina drain.

-Regular melee attacks don't use stamina, charge attacks still do. This should come along with, but not as, the much-needed buff to basic melee swings. In this system they could maybe increase the cost of charge attacks and make it so you can only use them if you actually have all the stamina you need, making them better for bursts of damage, worse for consistent damage.

-Blocking still takes stamina but only when you're actually taking hits, basically allowing you to transfer damage onto your stamina bar.

-Wallrunning takes up stamina for obvious reasons.

I might have missed some other uses for stamina, but I can't remember them right now.

Wallrunning doesn't really need to take up stamina. It could just be on its own timer. or it could still use stamina, but not be affected by stamina itself, if on its own timer.
