Solution For Non-Heavy Melee

Just a mod idea that may help with the uselessness of the long swords towards end game and compared with heavy weapons.

 

Why not have a mod that allows for the non-heavy weapons to cleave on charge attacks. Upgrading the mod would allow for greater cleave but doesnt directly affect individual damage.

All long swords should already have the ability to hit more than 1 enemy, either that or there attack speed should be greatly increased to match that of what a real sword would actually be like. The only melee weps that I can say shouldn't have cleave is daggers, because ya know... they're daggers. But Long Swords not having a native cleave in the first place is what caused them to end up where they are now... that and the fact that for some odd reasons blades in this game don't seem to cut that well if we go by the damage types... Grineer must be wearing Titanium Armor or something to make it so that Ninjas apparently barbarically slash instead of aiming for the weak spots in the armor like... any person with half a brain would do. But w/e. Long Swords just need a complete re-work cept for Dakra Prime which imo needs a buff to justify the MR6 Requirement, other than Dakra however they're only really used for looks... cept maybe Dark Sword which is quite amazing but again, lack of Cleave kills it.
