Melee Riven Rebalance

The melee riven rebalance is inevitable, and important for the melees themselves (gram p nerfs).

 

But there are 3 potential casualties which we need to consider as a special case.  These, of course, being shattered lash, landslide, and whipclaw.

 

We need a way to preserve the effectiveness of a melee "stat stick" while allowing actual melee riven balance to fluxuate.  There have been announced changes to separate disposition by weapon instead of equippable family, so we can use that to solve the situation.

 

I see 3 ways to do this.

 

1:  Moddable exalted loadout slots for these abilities.  Give them the ability to equip any melee riven.  Let them equip stances for the capacity increase (and add capacity to the stances of actual exalted weapons)

 

2:  Preserve the current state of having a "useless" weapon in the melee slot by introducing a new weapon.  A weapon with objectively terrible stats, but a permanently high disposition and the ability to equip any melee riven, and possibly also 1 syndicate melee augment of your choice.

 

3: These abilities just calculate riven effects off of a fixed internal disposition instead of the actual disposition of the equipped melee.

 

Stat sticks are the heart of these melee abilities, and we need to be able to handle them separately from the weapons themselves.
