Fall Off damage?

Just saw a video on this with the Kohm vs Kuva Kohm. But Im wondering do all primary/ secondary have fall off now? Some say they do while others don't. Also sometime the fall off makes the weapon do single digit numbers when out of range, which makes since. Should they do this with frame abilities also?

Here are already some modifiers that affect frame abilities, regarding the radius of the skill and such.

And, there is the fact you already need to buff range if you want the frame to reach farther.

there are some Weapon Categories where Falloff is normal, and some specific Weapons that have Falloff added to them.
most Weapons do not have Falloff however, and are only limited by having a hard cutoff at 300 Meters where the shot disappears out of the air.

Abilities fundamentally have limited Range to begin with, rather than infinite. so their ""Falloff"" is built in.

not sure how that does make sense, fast moving projectiles don't just suddenly turn into foam once they fly a specific distance. it's mostly fine for Video Game balance purposes, though. (even if redundant as Accuracy/Spread can cover the same purpose already, having Accuracy/Spread and Falloff is kinda redundant)

There is a maximum range at which hitscan bullets disappear (300m/1000m for snipers), but most rifles and secondaries don't have actual falloff, it's mostly just shotguns. However, in most cases bullets/pellets will just continue flying after they leave the maximum falloff range of the gun, they just have the minimum amount of damage. The exact amount of damage lost over the falloff range differs between each weapon.

That's why people joke about the Tigris Prime being the best sniper in the game; it only loses ~50% damage past max range and one of its pellets always travels straight ahead, so it still has massive damage despite losing so much to range.

Every weapon has fall off damage to prevent you from shooting all the way across PoE/OV. I think it is even shown in the arsenal. Don't have the game nearby at the time to double check.

In the regular missions, however, the space is compact enough for fall off to not kick in for the majority of weapons, aside from few that are intended to be close quarter oriented, such as shotguns.
